RE Movies - What would your own movie be like?

After listening to the Podcast about the first movie the other night, i thought id make this thread. Disscuss your rage about the movies, say what you would like to see in your ideal RE movie....anything really.
I'm interested in seeing what people think, including your thoughts on the original scripts.

Just so people know, im not defending nor im a bashing the movies, im just saying my opinion. So no arguments : D
In my opinion the movies are good in their own right, but...compared with the game it is a rip off. Like in Apocalypse, i enjoyed that movie very much when i went to see it, but i could also list major faults with it when i hold it up to the games universe.
I found the scripts very interesting on the podcast, and to me they actualy sounded better, especialy in romero's script..(was it romero?) where it had the original characters in it, of course a few things needed tweaking, but i liked its idea. I would of loved to see the tyrant in the movie.

It's meant to be that way. Anderson wasn't trying to be like the games, which is good. I love the movies. I wouldn't change them. Except Degeneration. I would cut Leon's hair and try and get someone else besides Capcom to do the animation so it looks more photorealistic, like Advent Children. And Claire's upper lip is just ugly in the movie. D: Other than that, though, they're pretty perfect to me.

I'd base it on S.D Perry's novels, maybe drop the Trent character depending on how many movies were gonna be made

i like the Anderson's RE movies too; but i hope one day, someone make a movie based on the actual RE series; and it would be awesome if they are "canonical" (the true story in the mansion, and in the Raccoon city, cause we all know there are a lots of paths and endings...)

and if i have the money and resources.. i would make a movie about Ada's story and her ivolvement with the organization, umbrella, Wesker and some other things...

Honestly? I'd probably keep the first Anderson movie, with a little crap filttering. Maybe have some Tyrant action as well as the Licker, because I like frickin tyrants. Oh, and people would be killed by zombie rather than by lazy beam. I'd also add some of the Red Queen stuff that was in the origional version. All told, it wasn't too bad a set up.

For the second film I'd go back to the drawing board. I'd make it an Outbreak like story with little cameos from game members, without featuring them heavily. For example an encounter with Carlos and Jill while Jill is still sick from Nemesis' attacks, and of course Nemesis himself...although in this version Alice wouldn't be able to help him. And, of course, she'd lack super powers.

The whole movie wouldn't revolve around her either. But eh.

Quite simple really, based off the first game.

Opening scene, a few hikers wandering in the mountains, when they are attacked by something...

then we go to the police investigating, then scenes in the RPD with Iron, Marini and Wesker, then bring in chris and jill to evaluate the situation and lots of looking of eveidence etc. All this would be a good character build up before deciding that they should act.

Bravo team first, but lose contact, then Alpha, recreate the opening FMV scene, and then afterwards in the mansion let the director have his creative input.
Theres no way wat we play in the games would work on screen, so once in the mansion we have the famous zombie head turn scene, and also Crimson Heads a bit later on in the film as well.
bit of exploration, but importantly, meetings with bravo team and possibly there own flashbacks of the mansion and how they came to inside.

eventually find the labs, skip the guardhouse, and weskers betryal and barry blackmailing.
Tyrant. End.

RE1 was based on b-movies so at its core it feels film like, the only bits as i sed wud be the exploration bits, and perhaps a solid reason as to why jill and chris cudnt leave thru the main door!

And sorryfor any lat replys, and yes, I like your ideas : D it would be good making some from SD Perrys novels, they are written very well in my opinion, ive enjoyed the ones i have read.

As for RE Hiro's idea about the ADA movie, would you of made it in CG or make it with real actors?

Canas Renvall - Yah, i havnt seen much of Degen, i will watch it of course when it comes out, but i think they should of taken more tie to make everything photorealistic. But from what ive heard on the podcast the story is quite sound.

yes but would they realistically be a significant challenge to Jill Chris and Wesker who after leaving the main hall take down giant snakes, sharks, plants, Hunters and a Tyrant>?

a measley pack of Cerberus wudnt stop an elite team like STARS. For a computer game its fine, but on big screen the audience wouldnt by it.

I read part of Romero's script and found it to be not that good. The only part I really liked was that he made the scientist's actually think for once and cover up the Tyrant's heart.

I guess if you include a bit of Umbrella Chronicals in there...then arnt the dogs already dead because of seregi vladimir? I havnt played the game but i watched the cutscenes on youtube.

and for the comment above mine, how did they cover the tyrants heart?

I love DMC3. Great game.

And It's been a while but IIRC, it was either plexiglass covering or some sort of metal case.

I hope Vergil makes a return in one way or another in DMC5, even if Yamato posseses Nero to do it.

If Vergil came back, I'd want it to be Vergil not a possession.

Also, If they make anymore RE movies, I'm hoping for a reboot despite how much I hate reboots. I'm the type of guy that doesn't like true-to-the-source material adaptations, I want some difference between the two but the RE movies are too far removed.
