It's not hypocrisy when I blatantly stated that you are indeed getting worked up over me insulting your precious Solid Snake. It eats you alive to see someone bash your fictional video game idol. Go back and look at the progression of the posts, you'll see my point.

The progression of the posts? It goes like this. You come up with an unbacked opinion and three people disagree with you. Youre basically called out lying. Then you proceedin thinking that someone is "defending a videogame character" where in fact, youre simply being called out for a BS argument. Thats the progression and herein lies your hypocrisy.

Again, you fail to read the posts in the natural progression of the debate. I said that I played up to MGS1 (including the two NES entries), and stopped liking it there. That I didn't like Solid Snake as a character, and ended my association with the franchise. I never said I disliked the multi-game storyline or whatever else transpired in MGS 2-4. But if they were similar to the farfetched, over-reaching, overrated story arc from MGS1, then I wouldn't have liked them either.

The problem is that you relied too much on the introduction videos to actually get a picture of the character. Solid Snakes "arrogance" may have come from the fact that he was blackmailed or threatened to get into the mission in the first place We get a much clearer picture of the character as the game progresses, Snake isnt "arrogant" or self-centered. Hes saying numerous times that hes just an ordinary man and that "legends" of him are "no match for the real deal". The main point is that your argument is conjured out of thin air. Whether you like the character or not is of no importance, its your prerogative. But if you want to use an argument as an example in a thread, it better be solid. And not a fabrication.

Believe me or not, I obviously did something more productive with my personal time than play and replay MGS 2,3,4 like yourself.

Like what? Replay RE3 a hundred times over? Two can play this game. If you cant accept that youre lying (you still havent, even once, tried to explain why you think hes "arrogant" or "too badass"), then how about you actually try with backing up your opinion? Amuse me. Wiki the character bio if you have to.

How? What? Attention? I simply stated that I don't like overrated characters who are "too cool" like Leon & Solid Snake. I've said this mutltiple times about both within the confines of these message boards. How is this "seeking attention?" And where did I fabricate/lie about a franchise?

The problem might be that SS is being overhyped by its fans. If that would have been your argument, then I wouldnt have been disagreeing. Let me give you an example. Yore trying to convince me that Leon is a coward like Brad Vickers, and when I call you out on your misguided opinion, you think Im "obsessed" with the game just because I happen to know a tad more about him than you do.

So if you still want to continue your personal rant on why I am a "stupid doo-doo head" because I don't cream myself over your personal idol Solid Snake, then do it via PM. He's fake, you know? If you wanted this to be in PMs, you would have taken them there. Stop being a child. Try to come up with less rabid MGS hate in your next argument. Defend Jills boobs or tanktube or something, at least get yourself into an argument you actually feel yourself at home in.

Personally I prefer denim jackets to leather, and I didn't like Leon's anyway. Still, it wasn't as though he could walk into a peaceful town in full tactical gear, really. And at the time he had no idea what was happening. So it makes sense he wasn't dressed for killing. Even if he looks silly in that jacket.

Ada has no excuse. She knew what was happening. I guess she figured some seduction might be order at some point. That dress has no other purpose.

Very true. Leon wasn't expecting to encounter what he did, so he wore appropriate clothing. (Maybe a longer sleeved shirt would have been better, considering he wore a thick jacket. And I still think he should have worn a wind- & water-proof soft shell jacket with more storage pocketing.) But shouldn't intel have told him far more about the situation in Spain? I mean, if the government can train a rookie cop so that he turns into a ninja, isn't their "intelligence gathering" branch just as talented?

Ada's organization is backwards from Leon's...she knew what to expect going into Spain, intel-wise, yet she was poorly equipped when it came to clothing.

Reading this entire topic, he earned it. JB rarely went into personal attacks, but MoS insulted EX and several people, even on the early pages. I won't lift the ban, it expires in 3 days. Ciaren is also banned, for insulting people. 1 day. Shape up people. I'm getting sick of the same few folks getting into arguments. It shows both a lack of self control and respect for the rules of the site you are at, and is really getting on my nerves.

Now, I know lonely horndogs and RE fanboys love seeing Jill & Ada run around in skimpy clothing, but it is actually quite ridiculous. First of all, it is illogical when you need tactical gear/protective items in a life-threatening environment. Second...well, actually that's it.

ok first of leons hair has always been the same except in RE2 it was always stiff, RE4 had a textured animation witch put alot of empasis on his already exsisting emo hair (yea boob its always been emo hair)


second claires and jills outfits in RE2 and RE3 wherent ententional, im sure that jill just got back from a hot date and the outbreak accours, it was totally unexpected, and claire she was going to RC to look for her brother, and in anycase maybe thats the way she liekd to dress? (the 90s were weird) or maybe she had half the fasion sence of a dyke XD

but anyways look around what you think and logically try to fidn a reason why they would be wearing the things they were wearing

now if you wanna know what i thought was worst, ada in RE4's main story line, her red dress was great, added for better looking effects, but lets think about it, its totaly unrealistic
and her hair, SHE PUTS TOO MUCH HAIR SPRAY IN IT!! i mean common it never moved!! not even in that helicopter or when she fell from the rope in the air at the end with the knife

I already made my point in this thread...no matter what Jill was doing prior to finding herself in a dire situation, she is an experienced combatant and she should have taken a few minutes to redress herself and find more suitable gear once she knew what was bound to happen.

Nikkolas you really should take tips from the other members, stop an think about what your going to say and word it correctly, and then give points and prove why you said it, and beleive me when i say, you do care what everyone else thinks, cause somday it can get you banned, cause come to think of it, i think i was banned once, (period when i couldnt logg in) and after that you appreciate what is here, like someone has stated before, i come here to discuss future cannon of RE the past plots and what it ties into the new stuff, i like discussing my opinions and trying to show my side of views, its now again the numberone site i go to for fun

When I first saw Krauser, I thought he WAS Nicholai, actually.

I actually liked Nicholai. If he'd reappear at all, I'd be happy. Also, that one brief custscene in Outbreak doesn't count. His accent was horrible and it was too little (I only knew it was him because someone told me a while back).

Are you kidding? Nicholai was awesome. He was like, the best villain in RE aside from Wesker. And frankly, at this point, I think he was cooler than what Wesker has become today.
His cameo in Outbreaks was cool though. It was good to see SOMETHING.

He's not a Wesker Lite. Nicholai doesn't wear sunglasses, or have any other pretentious quirks. He's a ruthless soldier. Wesker WAS a soldier, but at this point he's just a typical dramatic villain.

Not in that way. In my opinion, RE3 was simply RE1 lite and the same for Nicholai/Wesker. Nicholai and Wesker were both the bad guy who ended up betraying their fellow soldiers/teammates for a sinister purpose.
