I think FFX was the last decent Final Fantasy game. And its storyline wasn't that great. It was your typical angsty love story, nothing more. I haven't played Xenosaga... But yeah, you listed three games. Three... Out of a LOT of other ones, majority of which are garbage, at least story wise.

But that said. I really agree with you.
1) Most of the guys Jenna Jameson 'familiarizes' herself with are meant to be naked right?
2) She doesn't chose who she sleeps with based on their fashion sense. Infact. Anyone who sleeps with anyone based solely on their fashion sense should have their opinion disregarded immediately.
Comfort, function, and style dictates what I wear. It doesn't have to be new, it just has to look good, as well as be comfortable and appropriate. I stole my favourite jacket out of my dads wardrobe because he's too big for it now. I've got compliments on it, and when people ask where I got the jacket, I say '1983', because that's how old it is. Style is somewhat important. Trends aren't.
Since this thread is about stylish characters, I sort of ignored the whole part about the clothes being appropriate. Most of them clearly aren't, why is why I jokingly put pictures of Cindy and Alyssa's C costumes from outbreak up.
Chris in CODE: Veronica was dressed well, because he came prepared for his mission. Something alot of the characters in the series don't seem to do (especially the ladies).
And since it was brought up. Here's my 2 cents on anime.
I can't stand it. I haven't seen one series or comic that appealed to me.
I enjoy fantasy every now and then, but I've found every anime I've ever tried to watch absolutely ludicrous.
And most Japanese RPGs fail to hold me for more than 30 minutes. There's no way that I'd agree that Japanese anime and RPGs > Their western equivalents.sigpic

Because FFIX, X and Xenosaga I all had beautiful graphics. They are all jRPGs though.
And they had good enough stories. Nothing groundbreaking but very enjoyable.
Originally posted by Bio XI only posted one picture on this board that I know of... And the only other RE board I've been on is ReH. What are these other boards you speak of? And I think Badass is a relative term. I'm tons more badass than the vast majority of Ginos or Goths, or Emo kids, that plague the population right now.
And you know... I wouldn't listen to anyone, ANYONE, who spells 'hot' and 'not' that way. I could care less how many men she's been with. She gets paid for it.
As for that Sleeper Agent comment, I would imagine she would've brought a decent set of clothes with her, I mean, a dress like that... Maybe she was wearing it when she first met Luis, but after that... I would imagine Wesker could've provided her with something decent.
Before you guys jump on me, no. Im not a fan of porn nor pornstars. She visited a sex expo in my country a few years back and an article was written about it. Some of you guys REALLY show ignorance in the fact that you think just because shes seen on screen naked, she doesnt have a clue what or how men should wear their clothes. Do you honestly assume that she has never seen a man that isnt naked? For Christ sake... Hahahah
My point is that she has traveled a lot, seen a lot, her point of view is broader than most people. And if she nails the lack of style and personality in how people are clothed, its just as much valid as the next girls, even moreso. I cant say a woman is wrong if she says that blue jeans and black leather coats are bad. They indeed look bad. Bland. Nothing badass about it.
I too wear my fathers suit jacket, by the way.Last edited by Member_of_STARS; 12-08-2008, 08:30 PM.

But seriously. Youre trying to tell me youre badass. No.
Again, if I don't care what Jenna Jamieson has to say, then--with all due respect--your opinion doesn't mean a whole lot.
Yeah well, that's not why I hate RE4 anyway. But it sure as hell was an impractical outfit. I'm just saying, they could've given her tactical gear and still made her look good, which they did in Assignment Ada.

And Im fully aware of that. But you trying to say that a black leather jacket is badass cant be taken seriously either.
Look, all I know is that I looked in the store, and I saw this jacket, and it looked badass. And it looked significantly more badass than the brown leather jacket with the fur collar that I saw there. To say that no black leather jacket in the world is badass is a bit of a close minded statement.

Well, like I said, it depends on the design, I think. I mean, Leather CAN be stylish.
Although, if you're talking about a conventional, boring design, what I'm seeint a lot of these days, are those black leather jackets with white horizontal stripe across the chest, and white vertical stripe down each sleeve. Now THAT'S overdone.

^That is far more retarded than most things in RE. What is that? His sword is far too big for his body, and would be impossible to wield with one arm. (Not to mention the physics of swinging it would throw him off balance.) His costume - red & purple? - is impractical with too many billowing pieces. He's wearing nerdy glasses. He has some sort of oversized neck gaiter with belt attachments (what purpose does it serve?)...he's got a wino's jug attached to his waist...there are many things uncool about that dude, even if he is from some sort of fantasy world.

Most any RPGs wipe their ass with RE. Better gameplay, story, music, characters...better in every way.
As for anime, it varies but they're also generally superior.
Anime...lets see...I've seen "Akira" and "Ninja Scroll." And "Princess Mononoke." Those were all viewed a long time ago. Oh yeah, and I loved "Robotech" when I was a wee youngster. But I don't get all this "Naruto," "Pokemon," "YuGiOhh" crap. I'm not really into animation at all, to be honest.
I just never got into those things. Hell, I don't even really play video games besides the RE series. Well, I still like to play old nintendo or SNES games. Nothing like the simplicity of those controllers.
So, I am not judging you on your likes or dislikes, I just disregarded your assessment that I needed more anime & RPGs in my life to know what is and what is not "cool."
My argument is that a character is fashionable if he or she is tactically prepared for a dangerous situation while looking cool, HUNK being the perfect example.
I know these are games, and fictional characters, but RE3 Jill and RE4 Ada are ridiculously clothed for a survival action/horror game. Unlockable costumes are fine for such tomfoolery...but it really, really irks me to see scantily clad women running around in heels, dresses, lipstick, etc. It's f***ing stupid. I like at least a tad of realism. Which is why RE4 Leon pisses me off to no end - there is absolutely nothing realistic about him, except that he is an utter douche.
Anyway, my points were made many posts back, before this thread spiraled out of control on leather jackets, personal badassery, et al.Last edited by Jill's Boob; 12-08-2008, 09:33 PM.

Thus RE can take some notes from RPGs.
So.. You're saying you WANT characters in Resident Evil to dress like that?
Umm... Wow, I don't even know what to say to that...Last edited by Biohazard EX; 12-08-2008, 09:24 PM.

You don't do that man.
It's...it's...it's like insulting Ash Williams.
Just watch this.

Who the hell is Ash Williams? Is that the guy from "Evil Dead?" That's the only Ash I can think of.
Look, I don't know who Auron is...not that insulting a video game character means anything to me. I mean, I'm already a blasphemer since I am not part of the masses who worship pompous, over-the-top jackasses like Leon or Solid Snake.
I don't really play video games, as I said. Anyway, for me to worship video game characters would be as pathetic (actually worse) as fawning over celebrities or professional athletes. I got better things to do than dwell on people that aren't directly involved in my own life.
EDIT: You are entitled to support the things that bring you joy and happiness, whatever they may be, just know that everyone's opinions will differ. Hence, I have no idea about the Auron guy in the picture up above. I just pointed out what I thought were flaws in his design.Last edited by Jill's Boob; 12-08-2008, 09:41 PM.
