^I actually only ever saw "Army of Darkness." That is the third film, right? I know I need to see the other two as well. (Hell, I've yet to see "The Dark Knight." How many people can say that?)

I liked in Army of Darkness how he told the chick, "Gimme some sugar, baby." Haha.

And he worked for "S Mart," right? A K-Mart knockoff?

EDIT: Actually, I am quite fond of one celebrity - who is larger than life itself. A man whose bravery and heroic deeds fueled my childhood. I am talking, of course, of the exploits of Arnold Schwarzenegger. The greatest action hero of all time. A goddamn sexual tyrannosaur who knows what is best in life: "To crush your enemy, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women." Ah the sweet memories of Colonel John Matrix, Major Alan "Dutch" Schaeffer, Detective Jon Kimble, Harry Tasker, Douglas Quaid...just to name a few. Ah, the memories.

Most any RPGs wipe their ass with RE. Better gameplay, story, music, characters...better in every way.

As for anime, it varies but they're also generally superior.
I can no longer place any merit in your posts.
      See you in hell.

It's really not that hard to understand. Having played FFVII-X, all the Xenosaga games and Xenogears, I can say each of them had vastly superior stories and character sto the RE series. It's not saying much but it's the truth.

Plus then there's the Suikoden and Star Ocean games but I never played those. I hear they also have good stories though.

But let's make an actual thread for this.

Yeah his whole character in MGS1 was that he wasn't a pompous asshole. He was just another killer. Then he became a killer with a cause to stop the killing.

I liked his Pliskin outfit in MGS2. Preferred it to his classic outfit actually. Dunno why.

LOL @ you fawning over a video game character.

You're right, I never got past MGS1. But what I saw there...gruff voice, I'm-the-best-there-is attitude, chicks drooling over him, perfect soldier mumbo jumbo, "hero worship" from all other characters in the game...it doesn't appeal to me.

So instead of playing the other MGS games, I chose to do other things, like write, study, or play sports. So in a way, I was doing homework.

I already said that my anti-Solid Snake stance is never popular. Everyone always gets pissy when I say I don't like him or MGS. I don't see what the big deal is. Obviously not everyone likes the same things.

And I never said he was a "pompous asshole." I said he was a pompous (arrogant attitude that he's the greatest soldier ever), over-the-top (beats up hundreds of soldiers, defeats a ninja, shoots down a helicopter, destroys a huge ED-209 knockoff) jackass (utility word to describe unfavorable things).

Even people who hate FFX agree Auron is pure awesome.
Umm... I'm sorry, but you comparing Ash to Auron.. YOU just insulted Ash Williams.

Auron will NEVER be HALF as iconic of a character as Ash. He's not even on the radar.

                  Auron is fucking bad-ass.

And Solid Snake wasn't pompous in MGS1. If anything, he was modest. I don't see where he was pompous.

But do you want characters in Resident Evil dressing like him?

Nikkolas has a serious problem with the concept of context, I think.

Lol, no. I hope Marcus is the closest we'll come to an RE character dressing like someone from FF.

Maybe, maybe not. I played it a long time ago; I just remember not wanting to play it again after beating it. Nor did I even have the slightest iota of desire to play any sequels. And, as I said, my non-MGS-fanboy opinion is the unpopular one (and pretty rare).

We all like/dislike different things. End of story.

To add on: I also don't like Wolverine, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Trek, Halo, Gears of War, emo hair, Fall Out Boy, American Idol, and whatever else people are "into" these days.

Yeah, Marcus' attire was something beyond awful.
But since I'm done with the series, I don't have to worry about future installments.
You still have Birdwoman to contend with. I still can't believe that someone in Resident Evil is being referred to as 'birdwoman'. Sounds like someone from DC comics.

She actually doesn't have a name. Officially, she is "Mystery Woman." Birdwoman is a messageboarder's moniker for her.

And Marcus in his white robes is freaking stupid. That AND his opera singing. Ugh.

'Birdwoman' is the name given to her by people on message boards because she wears a mask in the shape of a bird's face and beak. That's all. Do you honestly think she'll be referred to as 'Birdwoman' in-game? And don't say "I don't care because I'm not playing RE5,", just answer my question.

Yea, but the fact that it's an actual description of a character... I mean, it's like, you see footage of RE2, and you might say, "That scientist woman", or "That eye creature"

But forget the name, her outfit is still ridiculous. Bird mask in Resident Evil... Not fitting at all.
