She's wearing a mask for a reason. She wouldn't be wearing a mask for the fuck of it.

Yeah, but she could wear something that looks a little less... "Phantom of the Opera"

What's wrong with her attire? She's wearing a mask and a cloak. How is that so godawful?

I mean, the mask is not awesome, but it's not ridiculous either. What would you prefer, a rubber William Shatner mask bleached white?

Her outfit is worn to conceal her identity, which it does except for her barely visible bottom third of her face.

I mean, it's not so freaking gaudy that it's the clothing of a prancing happy troll named Salazar in RE4.

It's too over the top. It's too, "Look at me, I'm a character of an overly dramatic Opera!"
That's not what Resident Evil is about. At least not to me. Not by a long run.

And it's not as if I'm defending Salazar.

          EDIT:
You know, considering all of Leon's cheesy one liners, and Salazar's outfit and stature, I'm surprised that when you defeat Salazar, Leon doesn't call him "Napoleon BlownApart"

I don't see anything "over-the-top" about the Mystery Woman. SHe's wearing a cloak and a mask. The mask stands out a bit, but other than that - she's completely garbed in black.

I laughed at your "Napoleon Blown Apart" joke. Which means it is too funny for Leon to utter. His "jokes" only induce groans.

The scariest thing of all...look at your THIA ranking...look at that little guy...

Over the top? Not really. Its a black cloak and a mask, nothing dramatic about that. How else is she supposed to hide her identity, a bed sheet with eye holes? IMO there has been far more dramatic outfits in the series.

Leon's lines are beyond anything anyone here could come up with.
After facing down a seemingly endless mob of killers, who would think to say "where's everyone going - Bingo?"
Exactly. And that's why RE4 is famous and we're all just poor dorks on a forum.
You guys gotta think outside the box. That's what makes you rich.

Well, it seems that my BlownApart joke was better than anything Leon ever spit out.

And believe me, I could do more justice to Resident Evil than any script writer that's ever worked there.

                    Speak for yourself.

Wow. Nikkolas. I hope you are joking with that post. That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read.

Do you have a poster of Leon mounted on your ceiling? One that you stare (intensely) at each night before drifting off into slumberville?

Do you not think WWJD...but instead WWLSKD?

                    • I would imagine I'd say, "Fuck this mission," and head into the woods, avoiding any villages, or anything of the sort. Find my way AROUND the collapsed bridge, and survive by killing snakes and eating the eggs they leave behind.

                      • Now now Bio. Modesty.

And Boob, I am half-joking and half-serious. Leon isn't even in the Top 10 of my favorite video game characters...maybe not even top 20. But I have to defend him because no one else here will. The fanboys must be kept at bay you see.

Besides, it does all come down to what I said. The people who are rich are rich and famous and we're not. Their actions and their creations will always be worth more than anything we write or do here.
                        I would hope that's obvious.

                        • I'd probably be excited about having mowed down so many adversaries without harm to myself.

Then I'd call for backup. Perhaps a tactical air strike. While awaiting logistical support, I'd go find that bitch in the red dress and serve her up a nice helping of what she's asking for by parading herself around in that skimpy dress.

Now, I may not be rich and famous...but I hardly am a "poor dork" hanging out on a message board while eating blocks of cheese and waiting for my latest episode of "Naruto" to finish downloading.

I enjoy the RE series, and as a topic I don't discuss with work associates, friends, or collegiate classmates, this is my primary outlet for it. And I consider message boarding to be a type of positive interaction - I get to debate, work on my communication skills, and practice proper principals of grammar. This is the only message board I participate in, since this is the only video game series I play. So not only do I get to find out about RE news, but I get to effectively share ideas & information with other RE fans.

                          • The people who you speak of are in their 40s. I'm barely half that age. And yes, I do plan to be rich and famous someday. And I won't give up until I've realized it.

I am modest. I'm not saying I'm a great script writer. I'm just saying the guys at Capcom are worse than me. That doesn't say much for me though.

Is that why the franchise is dead?
