I enjoyed it, didn't love it though. There were many things I found wrong with it but it was nice to see a much improved model of Nemesis, even if he did sound like a cyborg. I really did enjoy the Rebecca and Wesker bonus missions though, especially with Wesker trying to escape the mansion before it self destructs while being chased by Lisa Trevor.

The "ultimate Weapon" monster was also crap, it looked totally out of place like it should be in Unreal Tournament or Gears of War. Pretty weak, I think this was one of the things that should have been left to the imagination, or at least not put on the wii so it could have had more depth and some decent graphics. The Ivans were also weird...Mr.X with a fashion sense is not very intimidating. Aside from all that, it did have it's moments. My favorite part of the game was probably all the cut scenes that filled in some plot holes.
I completely agree with you about TALOS. I didn't think it looked like it belonged there, reminded me of an armored up gorilla with a rocket launcher. Then when it mutated, looked like something that would be in Gears or something.

Ive always thought an armored and armed Tyrant was a great concept. Modern robotics wont ever get to what such a Tyrant could do. Unfortunately, like I said, UC wasted pretty much every possibility it was handled to...

You know what? You're right, I was being a bit harsh, it isn't as bad as RE1's VA in the PSX, nor is it as a terrible as the VA for RE: Survivor (does no one else remember how awful that was?)

It's still generally bad on the whole though. I'll never forgive UC for totally ignoring Barry and Nicholai, maybe those two are forgotten about now, just think of how long it has been since we've last seen of them...what a shame.

I didnt think TALOS was horrible. It could have been a lot better, but it wasn't one of the worst things about the game. Keep in mind: BOWs were made to be sold and used. People complained that it had a weapon, so did Nemesis. The early tyrants weren't as streamlined since they were mainly prototypes. Could it have been better? By all means yes, but the final product wasn't as bad as it could have been.

I liked RE UC but I guess thats because I didn't expect to much from the game. I think that if the RE 3 parts were done differently then it could have been a much better game.

Yes, it's a very cool concept. Too bad they made him look like a retard.

my way of forgiving the whole plot contradictions in this game is I think of it like Wesker is telling the story.. ie. ''So yeah Jill Valentine was in Raccoon City where she met up with this Carlos dude and the two worked together to escape all the while being chased by Nemesis which they eventually killed.'' he doesnt know the exact details of what happened so we're just playing through an overview, lets say, of what happened per game..

                    Hey! Someone's finally got it.
(UC being one huge interactive Wesker's Report)

And about the contradictions/inconsistencies... this game is pretty self-consistent, unlike the respective games which aren't exactly very consistent with eachother (except from when it comes to the overall main details)

I typed these up back when the game was first released, but I figure they're still relevant for a thread like this.

She's also a voice actress in Naruto.
Anyway, I liked the game, but it had so many plotholes.

                          I liked REUC a lot
The gameplay was fun (its really great the first time we play it) and the CGs are gorgeous *-*

Its a good game, but of course is not the best RE game, like my friend Gradon said ,"it had so many plotholes"

do you guys think it's worth buying a wii just to get UC?

cause i really want to see what UC is like, but i don't want anything else on the wii other than UC, so it seems like a waste of money ($320 for a wii just to get one game), if Remake 2 and 3 are on the wii ill get one for sure but i wanna know is UC worth it?

Just Umbrella Chronicles? No. Just watch the game off the site instead. All the story without the pain of playing through the damned thing.

                                I payed 1600 reais (695 dollars now a days)

Its no worth bo uy a wii only for UC,but when u buy a console,u find out that u can play a lot of other games that u couldnt play before

Wii have some good games like Mario Galaxy,Mario Kart,REUC,Smash Bros Brawl,Zelda,RE4 WII (Is the best RE4 version) and a lot of other games

But I have to agree, wii kinda sucks in its games
                                Wii needs better games quickly
