Status of Resident Evil 1.5

1.5, the most interesting Resident Evil game ever made. The true sequel to the first game we were SUPPOSED to get. I hope that it will get released soon.

Well I was just checking out some footage on youtube and its just Re2 with different characters again I dont see what the fuss is about.

Well, other than the RPD and the Sewers being completely different, the story being that Umbrella has gone, up to six endings with Marvin and Linda possibly surviving with Leon and Sherry and Kendo for Elza all potentially, a completely different set of enemies such as Spider-Men, mini-crocodiles, ape like creatures and such, some different weapons, and some additions to the labs, along with grenades as weapons and armour for the characters.

So...other than the story, locations, characters (since they had different personas or lived longer a hell of a lot longer than five minutes) enemies and weapons the game is pretty much the same.

Tales also tell it was more action orientated than RE2 eventually became, but that's difficult to determine without actually playing the game.

Ok, not really, but more then once I've known the deception of having a possible lead and then hitting the brick wall. It ain't nice, that much I can tell you.

RE1.5 will get released one day. Don't worry. Something as famous as this will never slip away unnoticed.

IMO, it's the other way around. I'm willing to wager that whoever has it (likely a private collector) isn't willing to "share" it with anyone. What's in for it to them anyway? Nothing, really.

I very much doubt it's online, although nothing is impossible.

As for why it will be released...cold, hard cash. Pretty simple stuff, really. But there are a number of folks out there with it. One of them will decide to sell, for there own reasons or the knowledge that another one is thinking about selling and the game they have will go from being worth several grand to worthless as soon as it hits the net.
