RE4 what should have been

re 4 turned out the way it turned out its out we have all played it so it dosent really help saying how it should have been becuse it is how it is and now we got a re 5 on the way ( i do like re 4 i really do it did something new it took another road gameplay way and that was sweet) i got nothing against re 4.

they changed it so many times because mikami is the only one with enough money and balls to scrap a game that's near its completion. Shinji himself said he wouldn't play resident evil 5 because he would get angry if he sees something he does not like...

Well, originally we saw a preview of RE5 with zombies runnning...then they decided to go RE4 route, which I dont mind, but it would be cool if there was a mix of both.

Originally I thought it was going to be actual zombies, that ran and wouldn't stop just infront of you so you could shoot them. I'm happy with what we're going to see at the moment though. Could have been better enemies but they're trying.

I wasn't saying that it should have been, I just wanted information on what it was before what we got, and I didn't know how to word the question.

I would love this idea. Like in RE5 if somewhere in the story, underground umbrella is selling the t-virus and it leaks, or something like that but with, who are the new people? tricell? That would be great. Then there could be super bosses that are plaugas and t-virus mix.

Hopefully when RE 5 comes out it will be so good that we can all forget about RE 4 and what it should of been.

I wished it was more like 3.5 cos the atmosphere was great. RE4 was a bit... bland. I did, however, enjoy it nonetheless. 6.5 overall score.

i actually did enjoy resident evil 4.. my main problem with it though was the story. In my opinion, Capcom should have based the story on a more closely resi related story - Leon sent to rescue Sherry from Wesker but instead they went with 'Leon sent to rescue Ashley from a totally new group'. This way the game's story would appeal to people who never played the other Resi games as they wouldnt necessarily need to know too much about the overall resi story to play it and understand.

It was a smart move, as it did make the game accessible to new gamers and hence gave the series' some new fans. Lets hope, resi 5's story is going to be as good as it seems it will be! ;) With the possible inclusion of Chris, Wesker, Jill and Sherry, it could be the more faithful story that us fans that have been here since Resi 1 have been waiting for!
