barry was there we all know but sins its wesker who was telling the story kinda about the incident then i guess its not importen becuse its about chris ( jill) so his just not adding barry as a part of that becuse well his not there becuse barry isent part of this story in re 5 so they keept him out.

For me Barry is the most underhyped character. He's very popular but still he has only one major appearance in the series. One way to bring him back is with the CGI movies, following the success of Degeneration Capcom and Sony will produce more titles and maybe Barry will make an appearance there because I doubt if he is going to appear in future game titles....

I think he died when the island exploded . But I think it would be interesting to know, how he got to the island, Is he linked with the Los Illuminados? The Merchant is a mystery.

I too vote for Barry. Come on, they didn't even put him in Umbrella Chronicles! Rebecca is the same, but at least she got a starring role in one of the main games.
Also, maybe Ark Thompson from Survivor, but then again, Survivor is only canon due to one sentence in Zero...so yeah....I'll stick with Barry.
Then again, I'd also like to know what the heck happened to Rebbecca post-Mansion.
