  • ^ Something tells me that in resident evil 5 knifing those majinis will be more important than ever, ecspecially if there is so many enemies in this game if you want to explore everywhere.

Either that or deadly accuracy, can't afford to waste ammo.

    • ^If knifing and sharpshooting are key, then that'll really up the intensity. I'm game. And I plan on making as many skulls as possible explode with Chris' fists of fury. Man, I almost want to go buy a PS3 right now just to play the demo...

      • To save ammo in the demo, I always knife lone Majini. I walk up to them, they begin to swing their weapon, I back up, they swing, I run at them and knife away. Really though, knives aren't all that necessary with all the melee attacks. I've defeated many a Majini with one bullet. One shot to the face or kneecap, one Falcon Punch to knock them to the ground, and then one mega-stomp to obliterate their skulls.

True, thats what i usually do aswell, 1 shot and punch then stomp. I noticed in this game the enemies are a bit harder to kill aswell, and the swarms of majini without leons mega kick on resident evil 4 might be a tougher fight then before.

A punch from Chris (played by Chris) one night took out 3 majini, two of them losing their heads in the process (one wasn't even directly in range either). Leon's kicks don't have anything on Chris.

You're right, I almost forgot about that one. Chris's punches have a wide radius of damage. If you're surrounded, sometimes the best COA is to just shoot one in the face and spam the square button until he punches, and the blast radius of his fist is just about as good as a grenade.

Is it wrong that I understand that abbreviation, COA?
                  See you in hell.

Anyone who's played Metal Gear Solid would understand that abbreviation.

I find Sheva's melee attacks to be a lot more entertaining. The sommersault, the roundhouse, the throat slit. It all brings a sick sense of accomplishment.

Also Sheva's Skull Crusher is EPIC.

                      • The posts on this spoiler topic are becoming fewer and further between.. We must have all brought up every possible scenario (that we feel RE5 can play out plot-wise) we can think of after the Explosion that was the "Almost" Birdwoman revealing trailer.

In 12 days, everybody who wants to know the outcome will know. Youtube will be flooded with cutscene videos from the japanese version, and people will flood forums (namely gamefaqs and rehorror) with explicit spoilers to the story and ending.

The week in-between releases is going to make spoiling myself, in particular, very difficult.

I remember when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out, I locked myself in my friend's apartment while she was in Hawaii with food and all phones, computers, and tv's turned off so I could discover the end myself. I don't know if I will silence myself a whole week for RE5, though. I'd almost rather know the truth, and then play it out when the game comes.

What is everybody else going to do in the whole week between the Japanese and International releases?

                        • Ignore forums and hope everybody on LJ has the common sense to use LJ cuts like I will if they are playing the international release.

                          • I'll bury myself in my studies so I can avoid the internet all together and in turn avoid spoilers, but also so I can finish the majoirty of the work that's due in late March so once RE5 comes out I'll have free time to really sink into it.

I'm anticipating playing through the game twice without any real break. Aside from sleeping and eating I don't want to have a life outside of RE5 until I beat it twice.
