I'm sorta disturbed that a lot of folk find the action bits the best bits. I admit, I've yet to grab a copy (stupid stomach bug) but shouldn't it be, well, a bit scary in some places?

I'm also slightly disturbed by how Claire seems to be portrayed. Sure, she's chosen to work a different way to Leon and Chris (because they're manly men so blowing up stuff is good) but she, well, is clearly a damned fine fighter. From what I've read she even proes it by blasting a few zombies during the movie. You'd think Leon, of all people, would know that. I'm not sure sticking her as a baby sitter and having a new girl go all action star with Leon seems like the best plan. Maybe it would have been better to reverse the roles there. Even if she doesn't really want to fight anymore, which is perfectly reasonable, when you've got no choice...it does sound like Claire fans will be disapointed to me, alas.

I'm also slightly worried by the sound of the return of Super Leon. From what I've seen and heard he does any number of super human feats such as Parkour along for a while, defying gravity all the while, and getting pimp slapped by a G-monster...then springing back up.

Still, I hope the movie is better than it seems from what little I've garnered.

Horror? I thought it is time to face up the fact that there won't be any minor horror scene or game related in the series with such content. DEG is definitely an action-leon-packed movie.
It's like men are taking the big boat while woman are either dying or being used for experiments or becoming less fighters than they used to be.

One minute she's dodging bullets from a Assault Helicopter, then the next she's taken down by a piece of glass.

Maybe Claire's story is truly over. I mean,her main purpose,and story line,was to find Chris and she accomplished this in CVX or rather Chris found her.

Sheva, who's a woman afaik, also is no fighter, not at all.

You just exaggerate. Just because two games have males as their main characters, and because of Leon, a government agent, along with Angela, a solider, is doing most of the action in the film doesn't mean women are thrown away from the series.

Also dont foget dudes, RE is a movie and a game, its entertainment not real life.
So if its entertaining its going to be in there, and as i said a while ago, the glass in her leg is caused by a massive explosion, your bound to get injured in some way or another.
she didnt get hurt in CV because its a game, it would take longer to do extra animation for it. It would be less expensive and less time consuming, it costs a lot of money to make these things and it has a dead line remember. You cant expect every little detail in there. ( The movie would have a bigger budget and more time so they can put it in there)

Yea,that was pretty messed up in CVX; All that crap Claire been through in CVX just to get saved by Chris (?).
In Degeration she's totally opposite than her previous outings but her action scenes (as few as they wrere) showed that she still retained some of her toughness!

Perhaps they should do a RE with Claire and Jill as the main characters.

Whatever the case, I too feel the lead protagonist in RE6 should be female. Depending on the outcome of the story of RE5, I shall be rooting for Claire or Rebecca to take the lead. ;)

I think RE6 will be probably focused on the characters that are dissapeared in games,maybe Rebecca (I cant see Barry as a main character)

Well, I really hope we see Rebecca in a flashback in RE5. Its more than likely Barry retired to be with his family, but what about Rebecca? I mean, I would like to find out what she decided to do after STARS. Maybe she joined the B.S.A.A. like Chris and Jill.
But I agree that RE6 needs to have a female lead. Maybe Capcom is a little nervous about using a female as the lead knowing RE4, and possibly RE5, was such a success with a male as the lead. I wouldnt be surprised if they used someone like Carlos for the next RE game. If they were to use a female though, it would have to be between Claire or Ada. I dont think they will use any Characters seen in RE5, including Jill. But another good character for RE6 would be Sherry Birkin. If she was to appear in RE5, she'd be around 23 years old(same age Jill was in RE1). I think thats old enough for her to have her own game.

Well if you cast your mind back to Leon's epilogue in RE3, didn't Leon agree to become a US Government agent in exchange for them taking Sherry into protective custody? Maybe Leon and Claire aren't aware of her kidnapping as of the time of events in DEG and presume she's still in "safe" hands? Just a thought..... ;)
