Co-op play for Resident Evil 6? Opinions?

After RE5, is going to be really hard for Capcom to not include the co-op in RE6, and that obiously is going to affect the single player level design despite been a single player or co-op focused game.

My choice, is single player foused game, save the co-op for the minigames or something like separate ways. I enjoyed the co-op in RE5 anyway.

Dont see why they cant just take Sheva out if your playing alone would it really be that difficult. She get's on my nerves she always dies! So annoying.

Sheva only gave me problem cause the 2 times that the executioner was attacking me, she just ran and stood right next to me, so we both died togheter hahaha

Lol I know its dumb I enjoyed it with a mate havent played it online yet but with A.I. its damn awful I hope it dies tomorow plus I hate Sheva I think she's a crappy character. If Jill, Wesker, Umbrella and survival horror are dead and they use Co-op only with Re6 well your not leaving me with much choice Capcom. Specally if Leon is the main character not only would I not buy it I'd cry!

i think that if Jill, Wesker, Umbrella and all traces of Survival and Horror die in RE5, then i think it's safe to say RE is dead.

im still not to sure about Sheva though, she might turn out pretty good, or she might turn out to be Jill's murderer, im not to sure of her yet, i have to see more of her to know better.

and i think Leon has had enough in the limelight lately, he should just fall of the face of the earth for a few years and give Barry and Rebecca or maybe ever Carlos a chance to return.

I don't think Capcom will ever completely kill off traces of the series story. Even though RE4 was initially a huge departure, Capcom has since been adding more cred to RE4 as an actual RE game, especially since it looks like Wesker is using Las Plagas. It's nice to see RE4 has more relevance now. Plus, RE4 was a huge success and brought lots of new fans into the series. It would be easy for Capcom to just cast Leon as the main character and have it be about his silly adventures again, but it shows Capcom actually cares about the RE story as they're going back, recasting the original Resident Evil male lead, using Wesker as a main villain, etc... Hell, part of the marketing (Jill's grave) is pretty completely focused on attracting older RE fans. So yeah, Jill Valentine will definitely play a huge role in RE5, no doubt. Even though I'm not a big fan Barry, Rebecca or Carlos, I think they deserve some closure; it's frustrating having so many characters just floating around. Capcom knows characters like Jill are still very important to the core fanbase, and that's why they took the angle they did with her "death."

No, just no, enough ok? Screw the stupid action element and having 2 characters all the time, get back to the one character alone in a horror element. After playing the RE5 demo im 100% sure the major complaint from people is going to be having to look after Sheva constantly and not being able to get on with things because of this, and the ridiculous battles that just slow everything down.

I personally like playing single player and don't like idea of playing Co-op. Yea it might be fun to play with a friend for a while but afterwards playing with the AI gets annoying. If I wanted two characters to return for RE 6 I would pick Jill and Barry.
