Regarding Viral episode 2- ada wong theory ( hints and red herrings?)

Okay, i know this is going to sound crazy at first, and many will say " another idiot who thinks she's ada"
At first, i didnt think so at all either, but i felt like there was something odd about this video , the normality of this episode, like it just made so little sense to make it, that it must have something more to it.

Ill just state my theory right now. I think Capcom is hinting to us soemthing about Ada Wong. Im not saying she is Ada,or that ada will for sure be in Re5, but that this episode is hinting at something about her , maybe her involvment or something.

Okay, bear with me, because this only ties together with one little detail, that makes me think the others tie together.

Red. Red lights are shown behind chris when hes talking to the lady. she is wearing red lipstick, red bottle caps on the beer. There are red christmas lights near the pool. Okay, on its own, it doesnt relate to ada , aside from the fact that ada seems to wear that red dress alot, and red ..i guess symbolizes her.

But then. there was something that struck me as odd

The lady is applying lipstick, red lipstick. Then, she uses a white piece of cloth to even it. This leaves a whie piece of paper, with a red kiss on it.

Red kiss, on a white piece of paper. sound familiar?
It should. Ada wong sent a paper airplane through the prison window in Re4, to leon and ashley, telling them of a way to escape.
Now, what was on that piece of paper...well it was sealed with a kiss, a red lipstick kiss, exactly like this one is.

The video focuses on this image, watch it again and youll see that the camera makes it clear for us too see all this red, makes it clear for us to see shes applying red lipstick, and alot of it, as well it makes sure we see that this white piece of paper has a red kiss on it, and is dropped and focused on. Its clear watching it again that the focus was on these moments i stated above.

Plus, at the end, it has red lipstick lettering of kijuju, as well as the red kiss clearly visible

Could it be being guilty of being someone else, prehaps ada wong?
Plus i mean, its all this, and shes asian to boot right?

Okay, so tell me, am i crazy..am i looking at things too closely, and am i just seeing coincidences?
Or is there a chance that this is more than just a video, it is a hint of something to do with ada, whether it be her involvement in the game, or something else.

Um....its pretty common for women to dab off lipstick by doing that with paper or a tissue. The woman in the video wasn't kissing it. When Chris picks up the cloth after she is gone, it looks like Kijuju is scribble across it. I doubt it has anything to do with Ada.

I thought of Ada when I saw it but don't think it has anything to do with Ada. Whos doing the writing for these videos anyway, is it capcom or is it someone completely else?

Red is a pretty common color for symbolism, especially when it has to do with violence and evil and trauma, etc., which clearly the themes of these videos. And, like Rosetta Mist said, it's common for women to dab their lipstick off on napkins or whatever.

In any case, I highly doubt it's Ada in those videos. One, the woman's "everyday" voice is a dead giveaway. You'd think the directors would instruct the actress to speak in much more jazzy tone if they wanted the audience to pick up on anything. Second, Ada is still hung up on Leon. I doubt she'll ever be involved with Chris, regardless of what happens during the course of RE5.

I dont think these viral videos have anything to do with 5. I doubt Capcom would let any of RE5's story be hinted at all in these videos. These videos are merely just to get gamers hyped for it. I doubt their cannon.

Since we're on the discussion of the viral videos, does anyone think these videos make Chris look like a wuss.....ok maybe that wasnt the right word, but him having these random traumatic breakdowns? Think about it, for the past 10 years he has dealt with zombies, BOW's, Tyrants, he practically devoted his life to ending all of it. And these viral videos make it seem like this is the first time he has ever dealt with something so horrible in his life. He should already be used to it all, so I dont see what the big deal is. I just think it makes him look bad, especially because of his rather large appearance in the game. Does anyone else kind of get what Im saying?

i actually agree with you on both things kinda, i was thinking maybe these are all jst non canon, or i was hopeing they were anyway.

and yeah i think it is a little weird that now after 10 years Chris is finaly getting messed up in the head, if he's been through the mansion incident and antarctica without any mental scarring, why does he get it now?

and wouldn't he be desensitized to it all as well after the Racoon City
incident?

i think it's just marketting to make it look like a horror game or something.

I think that's part of the point. Chris has survived Arklay, Rockford and Antartica and had nothing but a desire to destroy Umbrella. He wasn't emotionally damaged by the events and now, suddenly, something happens during RE5 that destroys what's left of his mind. What could be so much worse than those locations that it sends Chris crazy? That's what they're aiming for with old fans, and with newer ones it's a case of, 'Look, this game makes fiolk crazy, that's how awesome scary it is!'

Of course, I don't think any of these actaully take place after the game. I think they're hallucinations from within the game itself where Chris is dreaming of a more happy existence before being snapped back into reality. Or something closer to it, at least. I keep wondering if maybe the way Chris fights Wesker is becomming like Wesker, and being infected with the same virus. And that this might be part of the course. It's possible Wesker hallucinated while he was 'dead' as well but we didn't see that part.

but i can counter that, if Jill dieing would break Chris up that much, and they were just work friends, then why didn't Chris break down into tears when he saw Forest's body on the veranda? they were best friends were they not?

I may be wrong, because I haven't played RE1 (or REmake) with Chris for a long time now, but from what I remember Chris drops to his knees when Rebecca (a girl who he knew for just few hours) is killed by a Hunter.

i wouldn't know, i never let Rebecca die, i loved her to much, actually she as the only thing that interested me about Chris's game so i never killed her.

but dropping to your knees as someone is killed, then forgetting about it half an hour later is quiet different than having flashbacks and mental and pshycological truma afterwards for who knows how long.

besides in canon Rebecca lives.

We have never seen what these event's have done to Chris that is the point, how do we all know that he wasn't badly scared by any of this and his new mission just brought it all back.

I think Chris is the kind of guy who carries out his mission then he will think later, he might be upset if a friend dies in action but he will not have a breakdown then and there. I think Chris will more then likely have a breakdown in his own time when he has a chance to think about what has happened, maybe blame himself for what has happened to his friends.

We have never really had an inside look into his life that is my point, we know only what he is like while he is on a mission not in his own time. That is what i think we will get with this game, a view of what he is doing after the event's and most likely how he feels about it all.

Lol, could be , or im just going a little insane as march seems further and further away
But by god, every time i watch that viral video, the mroe and more i thnik its a nod to ada, to ada beign somehow, perhaps an influence in Re5, maybe mentioned, or maybe an actual character.

I mean, all she had to do was make that napkin into a paper airplane and we would all be seeing ada. Another thing is that she takes off as chris is freaking out ( she might have been going for help) but thats anotehr thing ada does often, she takes off on people quite often.

But again, just a theory, but i thought it was worth mentioning and all, even if it turns out i need to take a breather from these videos, lol
