Game Informer Resident Evil 5 Ad

Just got the newest issue of Game Informer in the mail today, and there was an ad in the back for Resident Evil 5. I thought I'd share it with everyone, since it's following along the lines of the live action viral videos. It's admittedly nothing earth-shattering, but I figured someone might be interested.

My thoughts exactly, I dont see how a game that is more action oriented can be that scary. Their really starting to overexaggerate now.

That's what I was thinking too. Video games really aren't that scary anymore, and the ones that are certainly don't have the same vibe Re5 has.

In all seriousness though...I'm wondering if the viral videos will be on tv closer to the release. Television commercials would also boost the hype for the game, and I think Capcom is trying to cover all their bases when it comes to marketing.

That's a good point. These viral videos could very easily be turned into commercials.

If they're gonna advertise this much, why not head to TV? Closer to release, of course. And if they're gonna advertise on TV, why not recycle the viral videos? I mean, if they're really going all-out with this whole writing on walls thing, it might as well be the same.

I still dont understand why Capcom claims these videos to be canon? They're so pointless. Besides why on earth would they want to reveal anything about RE5's story before the game is even released, so I doubt these videos are going to show anything important.

Interesting take, but its hard now to say whether these all hint to Chris 'before' the events in the game or 'after', like he is just trying to get over the loss of Jill before he goes to Africa or this is him breaking down after the events that transpired to lead to her apparent 'death' and Sheva and Wesker as well. More confusing than anything.
