Barry redeemed himself by saving Jill and Carlos from the shock of some large missiles. Unless that wasn't canon *shrug*

I still think it would be a great idea for him to be the merchant in RE5. Play a role that's ultimately fitting to his character. Video game magic will allow him to operate from home in between chapters. There doesn't seem to be any indication of his appearance in RE5 at all so I'll just take any possibility with a grain of salt.

Yea, and he also sent his family to Canada. Unfortunatly, he was unaware of the outbreak there. Once he'd realized what he had done, he took his own life. I wouldn't suprise me if that was Capcom's canon

You would think that Barry would help Chris in taking Wesker down, since I believe Barry has just as much of a reason to despise the guy as Chris has, after what he did to both of them in RE1. Barry should have been the second playable character in RE5, not Sheva!

I'm pretty sure the epilogues were post-RE3. I mean, they had Jill searching for Chris, Leon talking to the government, Claire leaving to find Chris, Ada, etc...all of those took place after RE3 for obvious reasons, so I don't see why Barry's epilogue wouldn't have followed suit.

Speaking about epilogues. Claire's takes place right after re2, so it means that it happened in time when Jill was uncontious. Hunk's epilogue takes place before Re3 2nd part. And the one that belongs to Barry... It's unknown when it takes place.
It can easily be before or after RE3.

AGREED! If this is truly the last game of the original story arc, Barry more than deserves a final appearence. I understand that he's out of the storyline but there's no reason why they couldn't throw him into a mercenaries mode as a bonus fan pleaser.

I really think he'd be perfect for this.

I find it strange the way some fans don't get the concept of a side character.
It's like Rebecca only got her own staring game because she's a hottie, thats it.
Barry isn't and should never have his own game within the canon. Not because he's not worthy of it believe me he's the Freakin DUDE but just mainly because he's the truest sense of what a side character should be.
Lets just be thankful that Gaiden is around even if It kinda sucks.

I wonder if Capcom decided to Kill Barry off would there be huge amounts of threats and riots outside Capcom from angry Burtonites.
I think the reality is Barry is just too damn good to be in another game.
