I'm not sure if you were speaking to me with this post or not, but in case you were, I know the leechman is the bald guy who transforms in front of Chris, Sheva, and Excella. However, I was saying that I think that man and the bald black man seen with birdwoman at the beginning of the trailer are one and the same.

The leechman has white skin, but it's white white, not caucasian. I think the reason for the change in skin color could be due to some form of necrosis resulting from the leeches and/or infection.
They look absolutely nothing alike though.

I think they look quite a bit alike, actually.

The African at the beginning has a much more puffy, rounder face. The leechman's face is very flat and square. Add to that the fact that it's very unlikely these guys can just reform themselves after they've been torn apart from the innards.

Yeah, to be honest when I spotted this and saw the eyes, my first reaction was "WTF? It can't be!". Since then I've sobered up to "No really, it actually can't be." Sure, the eyes are an interesting similarity between the two, and Wesker's voice does play during that scene in the trailer, but I very much doubt Capcom would put so huge a spoiler in their promotional material just like that.

In my opinion it's not Wesker, and I seriously hope it's not him since having anyone randomly mutate into a blob is kinda demeaning, however I merely pointed it out to Mr. Spencer to get everyone else's opinions. If it IS Wesker, then I'll be very annoyed at Capcom's writers.

Okay, well this guy is defintley not Wesker. Thats Wesker voice saying " Natural Selection leaves the survivor stronger and better" as he is probaly watching as this happens.

This is either the African dude who bird lady watches over, or an entirly different person.

Hmm..."natural selection made the VIRUS stronger and better"? - Referring to the Wesker Virus? I don't know.

That's the "Uro man" which is seen transforming into the leech-like thing (Excella is watching it in the second floor).

I wouldn't be too upset if the final boss fight is like Snake vs. Ocelot on top of Outer Haven at the end of MGS4.

                  Really.

                  But, I don't see how it would work...considering Wesker's new Nightcrawler-ish abilities.
I guess I just wanna hear Chris go: "...errrahhhWEESSKEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!!"

It does look like this guy that transforms is saying natural selection made the VIRUS stronger and better but its more likely said by Wesker in a different part of the game.

Honestly, I'm hoping Wesker doesn't have a big mutation. Something on Krauser's level would be nice, but not Sergei/Morpheus/Birkin level mutations.

                            Don't forget Saddler.

Anywho, deteriorating skin and baldness just seem like a deus ex machina to me, though if they provide a passable reason for it, fine. Right now I too would lean towards a Wesker virus. Whether or not he is, that leechman better be intimidating. Doesn't it follow you through rooms? Maybe we'll see something like an even crazier Nemesis.

I never really thought it would be Wesker. When I first saw him I thought it was Irving, but the sea monster kinda shoots down that idea. The eyes aren't a big deal. Look at the other people infected. Their eyes glow as well. And I agree that it would be rather dumb to show Wesker mutating in a trailer. And really...the leech boss doesn't look that intimidating. I doubt Wesker's would be a simple one fight boss. And there was the rumor a while ago that slightly sprung up when an interview with his voice actor said he would be happy to repraise his role in the future.

Agreed. It can't much more epic than a final showdown with wesker. If this is all he's got to offer, I would be pretty upset
