Kraken in general is a term used in sea mythology in regards to a giant squid/sea monster. Neither Capcom nor Disney coined the term.

This question can't really be answered until we see what is in the final game.

That said. I think they've forward-promoted this game too early.

I have a bad habit of seeing too much of the games I'm really excited for. I did the same thing with MGS4, even though I only watched trailers...which is pretty much the same thing I did with RE5. About two-to-three weeks before the game launches I'll go into lockdown to avoid all spoilers...just like I did with MGS4. I'll suggest that Dot locks registration at around the same time so some asshole doesn't join the site and post the entire plot to the game...TheSnakeSoup.org did the same thing for MGS4's release.

We have seen too much, at least I avoided the leaked stuff from the demo. Sadly there is more stuff to be revealed in the next month and of course the final trailer.

At this point the only thing I regret watching is the Jill tombstone, that will be a huge surprise but they spoiled it.

That is not fair but is necessary.

I think it is totally fair. If one of the spam morons joined, they could mass post in every single thread. I have the worry that the game will be leaked a week or two before the release...and if that's the case Dot and the mods will really need to be mindful of what is getting posted here.

Well, they'll just have to wait until after it's released. I don't see an issue with that.

If they leak it in a new topic, they will probably give it a title that corresponds to what information they are leaking. (Like FINAL BOSS REVEALED !!!!1111 LOL IT'S TEh REI)

You don't have to read it.

Not even just that, but make a separate forum for people to post in if they finished the game, and one for those who haven't. That way, nobody would stumble on badly named topics, like "last boss, Jill is to hard to kill..."

I dunno. The great thing about the trailers is that both plot and gameplay exposition are more or less frantic. With all this talk about the levels being varietal I'm quite excited about getting the "feel" of the game, and the significance of the plot/characters.

                                Though yeah, I wish I hadn't seen Jill's tombstone.
