  • U.S 360 Demo Discussion

Just downloaded it. The two stages are "Public Assembly" and "Shanty Town"

They also kept the guy that always said "Resident Evil X", pointless but I like it.

Chris turns a little too slow for my liking.

One problem I have had is that whenever I try to start a online co-op game on the US demo a "disc is unreadable" error pops up.

Slightly Annoying when I could just log off of Xbox live and play the JPN version.

On my second attempt in Public Assembly, The Executuiner kept freezing in his axe motion and just stood there but I could shoot him. He didn't get one swing off.

Also I was playing single player and pressed "B" for the "Come on" command. Chris moved his arm Sheva moved her lips. Ran about 12 paces and then audio came. Big LOL moment.

Sounds cool. I'm guessing public assembly is the stage with the axe man right? What's shanty town? jeez this whole week is going to feel like an eternity to us PS3 owners.

PS3 guys, don't worry. If the finished product is anything like the demo... egh. Glitches with audio as people have stated, unreadable disc... without the disc. I too had the axeman issue. Chris moves slow. Sheva's AI is really bad. And if it's as "scary" as the demo, I won't bother (I'm not buying it anyway). Just played it to confirm my fears, and they were all confirmed.

See ya, Resident Evil. It was a good run. T_T

Sheva seemed pretty good to me, though I agree it's glitchy.

Resident Evil has lost it's creppiness too.

Are you talking about his aiming? Because you can change the speed of that in options.

One of the main things about Resident Evil. Resident Evil without creepiness is like... It's so infallible that even Naruto can't believe it. Not even ripping on anything else, the fact that it isn't scary is grounds to toss it (for me).

I have to say I have played through each level twice now on single player and I am enjoying this way more than I expected. I use control type D and am Using a faster aim speed and am having no issues with movement or anything. Sheva is also working fine for me.

As for the people complaining about glitches, when you load the demo there is a disclaimer stating that this is just a demo and glitches and such will happen and will not reflect the finished product. So I would recommend you wait for the real game to draw any conclusions.

As for the games not being scary I may agree a bit but what I have seen so far and played makes it feel more intense and really emphasizes the survival aspect of survival horror.

My view of course Anyone wishing for some co-op my Live tag is Schmidty816.

One thing I forgot just in case anyone didn't know the d-pad will quick equip any item in its equivalent item slot. I didn't notice anything in the control options about it (Although I could just be a blind moron) and once I figured it out, quick swapping became quite a nice touch for weapons.

I haven't played the US demo, but I played the Japanese demo dozens of times and never encountered any glitches except one where an enemy dropped rifle ammo and Sheva and I weren't able to pick it up; the animation for bending down and picking up an item would go through the item wouldn't leave the ground or enter our inventories. Aside from that, everything I've played has been extremely solid, and Sheva's AI is fine.

Parasitic, leechy, and insectoid things make me a little shaky. So in terms of scare factor that works for me. If they have stages either in the dark or blinding sunlight I'll be happy as a clam. We haven't seen enough aspects of gameplay besides the demo and flashes of levels.

The demo stage "Assembly Line" is challenging enough for me that if I become the least bit careless the game's over. Though I never discovered the electric transformer. "Shanty Town" is much easier, and it's fun to coordinate with a friend.
