Okay, cool, but I'm in America. The store updates on Thursday for US accounts. I can wait three days.

Plus I won't be near my PS3 until the 3rd, so.

Jill boob, I'm in the same boat as you. I don't have a 360 or PS3 and won't be getting a PS3 probably until the game comes out. Anyway I did get a chance to play the demo at my friends and have to say that the demo was great. It plays like RE 4 but better. If the story is as good as we all hope, then this game will be another game of the year winner.

I meant, on the JP store, there is a banner that says BIOHAZARD 5 on the 2nd of Febuary, which can only mean the demo for Japan comes out then.

I think the bottom line is if you have a PS3 with internet connection in your possession on Monday, February 2, you will be able to play the RE5 demo.

Putting my love for resident evil aside, it's a pretty damn good demo period just because of the length ( 2 levels ) as well as it's early arrival. Some demo's don't hit the Playstation Store until months after the game is released, so it was pretty generous of them to have it this early.

Just played the demo for the first time. Nothing to say, really. It's about what I was expecting...I'm not blown away, not disappointed...but I can't say I'm more excited for the game than I already was. It's just...ya know. Ya know?

It really depends on the developer/publisher when the demo hits the store. I am surprised that Capcom did not release it the same time as Live since they have their own PSN store section. I hope we are getting it late for a good reason and not because Microsoft stepped in.

We're getting it late because Microsift paid for a weeks exclusivity.

A few months back there was even talk of Resident Evil 5 coming out a few moths earlier on x-box because of a "generous donation to Capcom's development staff". Sneaky snakes.

That's how I felt too. It never got me hyped up, nor was it a disappointment at all. It just felt as I came to expect it should and would. I messed around with the environments to see how detailed they were and it was impressive. The AI on Sheva is pretty solid, though she is a bit thick at times.

I also think the reason why we didn't get anymore hyped was because we'd all ready seen so much footage of the demo beforehand. I know I had. I knew when the enemies were going to pop up and where.

Having just played through the RE5 demo on the PS3, I can finally have a valid opinion. First and foremost, the graphics look amazing. In fact, I'm surprised that they haven't been at the front of people's minds regarding RE5. The controls are what I would describe as "dicky", there's a number of different combinations to try and all of them equally confusing for me. I'm sure I'll get better with practice.

I would have liked to have seen more enemies on screen, like with the original trailers we saw. Still, it gets hectic during the Public Assembly stage so I can't complain. I much prefer playing as Sheva, since Chris is a little too large for the screen and Sheva is much nicer to look at. There's a nice sense of daunting atmosphere about the settings too, you can tell that something bad happened in the settlement and that something has radically changed the populace.

All in all, it's not bad at all. Decent actually, save for the controls but they're hardly an issue since you can always learn. Hell, if I can learn the controls for Alone in the Dark then RE5 should be a doddle. It's also good to know that you've got backup, kind of. You're always isolated in previous RE games, but in this you've got support in the form of your fellow BSAA comrades. I suppose that also doubles as a negative point, since you're never alone. There is however that feeling of panic, where you have to hold off the legions of Majini until your backup arrives to blow open the gate.

I look forward to the full release with great anticipation. As the actress once said to the bishop.
                              See you in hell.

Yeah, the graphics are pretty brilliant. Sheva looks glorious, Chris is huge, etc etc.

The only thing about Sheva that pissed me off is how she BURNS through ammunition like it's fuckin' nothing. When I play, I try to conserve ammo...if a Majini is stumbling, I either try to melee them or slash them in the face with a knife. Sheva, however, comes in guns blazing and wildly firing at anything and everything with dark skin. Bad girl. Bad...bad girl.
