huh? I never seen that in my life.
Europe doesn't exist to most people it seems.
I got that for £13, quite the bargain, was in my local GameStation.
      Also, I would love a spin-off on PS3.

UC is canon, but there are also non canon events, for example where are Barry, Enrico and Nicolai??? they don't appear during the game but they're mentioned in few files of the game.
Capcom did a mess with UC.

However I would like to see a multiplayer (more than 2 player) online RE for Xbox 360 and PS3.

I posted this in another thread, but I had an interesting idea where, if indeed Jill is BMW and is made the main focus in part six if it is made, that the storyline would somehow involve her now being a fugitive on the run from both Tricell, the government and even Chris himself now that she is in effect made into a new and improved bio weapon with untold abilities and seems to be of her own person and uncontrollable. Well, who better than to send after her and bring her back but HUNK himself ? He is already a pretty popular side character to those who follow the mythos and more and mroe in recent games he has been given more of the spotlight and more to do, so why not make him a main plot point in part six ?

Also, by doing it this way you could also bring back side characters associated with RE 1 as Jill would try to track people down that could help her with her mission to reclaim her old life and try to find out what exactly was done to her and if it could be reversed.

Also, the T-Virus vaccine in Degeneration isn't Daylight. It was developed by WilPharma.
ElusionM was talking about UC, not Outbreaks ;).

How do you even define "spin-off"? Was Survivor a spin-off? Incident on Sheena Island was mentioned in the opening of Zero - so it was cannon then.

              Reading comprehension ftl.

(I'm referring to myself, not you.)

Strictly speaking, any game that does not have a number in the title is a spinoff. CODE: Veronica, Umbrella Chronicles, and Gun Survivor are technically spinoffs, but they are considered canon. CODE: Veronica, in particular, is unique in that it is considered part of the main series.

Gun Survivor, as you mentioned, is referenced in the opening of Zero, but that's all we hear about it in any of the main games. Dead Aim may be considered canon, but it's tenuously so, because Wesker's Extra Report mentions that Umbrella had a boat it used to ship and sell its bioweapons. It is not mentioned by name, but in all likelihood, the ship is the Spencer Rain.

Indeed... And, maybe it's just me, but I still think CODE: Veronica totally deserved the "4" title. I'm still a little bitter that they didn't give it to the game, but whatever... It doesn't make that much of a difference, I suppose.

Oh, it definitely deserved a numbered title. I seem to recall hearing about some weird sort of "exclusivity" deal Capcom had with Sony where numbered titles in the series couldn't appear on other consoles at the time. Not sure if it's true or not, but it does explain why the game was called CODE: Veronica.

Actually Code Veronica should have had 3 in the title. RE 3 was more of a side story even though a lot of important events happen in it.

                      RE3 was a side-story of sorts but it wasn't a spinoff...

UC was a spinoff, albeit an extremely popular one. I mean, it's a rail shooter >.>

Yeah, now that you mention it, I think I heard something about that, too, long, long ago. It's sort of amusing how Capcom got around that deal simply by titling it "CODE: Veronica." It's even more amusing considering CVX came out on the PS2 just a year after the original's release.

I'm not the biggest fan of RE3, but I do think it deserved the "3" title. Although it really only focuses on Jill's escape (with a few thrown-in details about the history of Raccoon City), the game was the first to feature the destruction of Raccoon City, and that alone makes me think it's very well-deserving of the "3" title.

I would still love to see Jill in RE 6 if it is made as a main protagonist, and perhaps even the RE remake make it onto the PS 3 at some point. I mean, the remake would make heaps of money if Capcom releases it a few months after RE 5. The mania would be off the scale.

PS3 doesn't need spinoffs like the 360 does. With a PS3 you can play the old games, but for people with a 360 there is nothing for us. They should release the old games in the classic section, or a disk that has all the RE games. They don't have to add anything, maybe a few hidden easter eggs.

Just port the games capcom and microsoft! I'll give you money.

nope, RE3 rightfully deserves the "3" numbering it got, because the destruction of Raccoon City is arguablly the single most important plot point in the entire series.

i don't see how people think 3 is a side story at all, i think it's more to do with the main story that CVX has.

CVX is just a side plot, it should have got 4, since it's more relavant that RE4 is, but no way should it have gotten 3, RE3 rightfully deserves that.

Well, RE3 is just about Jill escaping from Raccoon City and the city being nuked.

RECV, on the other hand, shows us reunion of Claire and Chris, introduces us to Umbrella's founders and resurrected Wesker, who, from this game on, is a main villain of the series.

So no, if anything, RECV has more to do with the main story of the series.
