  • What's your preferred control scheme for the RE5 demo?

At this point we've more or less all played through the demo, we've posted our opinions of it, what we like and what we don't like about it, but out of interest I'd like to know which of the four control schemes you preferred. I've only played the PS3 version, but I'm sure it's the same case with the 360.

Personally, I much prefer Type C. I dabbled around with all of them, but C was the setup that felt the most natural to me. Oh, and of course the aiming speed set to fastest. What about the rest of you? If there's a pre-existing topic about this, just shift it somewhere.

A remains my favorite; old habits die hard. I just wish I could switch the movement control to the pad instead.

Both controllers feel fine, but since movement is restricted to the left stick, I'll have to give the 360 one a slight edge. It's a bit more precise.

I've gotten pretty used to type D.

        Type A on PS3...Type B on 360. Funky, huh?

I'm guessing it's because I was just playing RE4 last week.

Type A. It's bad enough that X is what Square usually is and vice-versa. I wish they let you switch those. But I need my aiming on R1, hence A. o/

Just added a poll. Should give us some nice results.

Type-A on 360. I was using Type-D for a while, but Type-A is definitely my preferred, and I will use this one permanently when the game comes out. Nothing against just the others though. :3

all of them suck hard, but Type A sucks the least, why did thy change it from RE4? there was no need, i hate pressing Square to pick up items.

anyways, i have played around with B or C much yet, but type D is disgraceful, it's terrible, the game is unplayable in type D.

Overreact much? D is pretty much B with an altered R3. I was already used to A...wanted to try something different. Hopefully when the game is released we'll be able to change the buttons. Using square didn't bother me until I couldn't play the demo because I lost power and started playing RE4 when I was at my sister's. >.< I had to get used to the RE4 controls all over again.

I will probably stick to the classic control system I am used to using in 4 when I play 5, then when I get the hang of things then I will try the new system and see how it goes.

Mostly D, I didn't get the chance to dabble with the other configurations before the 360 shuffled off to Buffalo (literally...well almost).
