I think it's a little from column a (people wanting to get the OMFG EXCLUSIVE!!1!) and a little from column b (said motion actors wanting their five minutes of fame a little more prolonged than Capcom would prefer).

Aparently the main page of the Biohazard series has been updated the 1st of this month with the add of a new gun: The Desert Eagle .50AE Leon Custom with 10inch barrel -a gorgeous weapon imo-. Since the page is in japanise I don't know where is the link to buy it =/.
