Capcom is still puzzled by Resident Evil 6 selling below expectations. Believes the game could've been a victim of inadequate marketing and promotion.

"We are currently analyzing the causes, which involve our internal development operations and sales operations. We have not yet reached a clear conclusion. We believe that global sales of 5 million units are proof that this is a popular title," Capcom said.

"However, we believe that the new challenges we tackled at the development stage were unable to sufficiently appeal to users.

In addition, we believe there was inadequate organizational collaboration across our entire company with regard to marketing, promotions, the creation of plans and other activities," the company added.

"We will have to examine these results from several perspectives. We will reexamine our internal operating frameworks in order to identify areas that need to be improved concerning development as well as sales and administrative operations."

Premium Set bundle to be sold in Japan





Capcom will sell a limited edition Premium Set of Biohazardu: Revelations Unveiled Editon. In Japan, obviously.

This premium set will be sold at their online store, e-Capcom, for about 42,000 yen for the Premium Set (there is another "Limited Set" without the watch, selling for 7,490 yen.

The Premium set includes:

1. Software: “Resident Evil: Revelations Unveiled Edition”

2. US AGENCY WATCH (BSAA ver.)

3. BSAA card special case

4. An OST CD that includes new arrangements

Capcom's Christian Svensson said that Resident Evil: Mercenaries may be coming to HD consoles, the game will be extremely expanded with modern visuals. He will talk more about this next week.

Sven over at the Capcom-Unity forums said:

Many of our other previously released 3DS titles will be coming to the eShop in the coming months. Details to follow when we're closer to release.

This pretty much confirms that at least Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is getting an eShop release, like it did in Japan since Dec. 27th.

And the great thing about this new digital version of the game, is that you CAN delete your saves to begin a brand new game.

I think i will pass this package, i have all these games on my ps3 except for rebirth&zero, just imagine those two in full hd experience, i wonder why wont they release them on the ps3 ?
