DNS Errors for Co-op Online Play (PSN)

Anybody get these DNS error messages whenever you try to connect to a game? At first, I thought it was my slow dsl, but then after about 10 or so tries, I finally got connected to a game. the error message would give some 8000 number, then hit O to get back and then freeze...i think it froze, didnt leave it on too long so i assumed in froze. Is it just the demo hopefully? Played w/two different people, apparently from japan

me and him dont no wtf is wrong but it pisses me off cuz i still havnt played a match with him yet

i get this every now and then, i just assumed someone else had joined the game before i had, after a few goes i ussually get in.
