^I will. And you can bet I'll look you up to play sometime after I have completed the affair solo. (I have to play solo the first time. Spend some quality time as Chris, which I've only been able to do by playing RE1 and RECVX and REUC repeatedly.) I've thought he was a cool character ever since I saw him in a preview for RE1 in EGM back in 1996.

Man, I can't believe you haven't played the demo yet...I mean, it's obvious why you haven't, but...I've played it so many freakin' times that I just get sick of it sometimes, but then I go and play something else and find myself longing to play the demo again with a friend who has a headset. It really is a lot of fun.

Trust me, I am very jealous and it has been hard not to rush out and get a PS3 just to play the demo...but I figured that once I made it to late 2008, I was totally content with waiting the remainder of time to make it to 3/13 and go and pick up RE5 and play it in its entirety. Now if only I could muster up the energy to stay away from spoilers the rest of the way...I really am pissed at myself for knowing as much as I know now.

I was doing good as I only logged in here twice between Christmas and now, but I've come here due to weakness and a desire to know about the game that I cannot wait to play.

And the reason I haven't picked up a PS3 already (PS3 because, since I don't play many games, I can use as a Blu-Ray player for getting my money's worth) is that I've been hoping they'd drop the pricetag, even though from what I read that won't be until April...well after I need it to play RE5. Bastards...

Glad to know you've been repeatedly drawn to the demo. And I am VERY jealous of you getting to use Chris to *punch* *heads* *off*. That...is...awesome. And though I haven't visually seen it done, knowing that it can be done makes me smile.

Yep, and I'm pretty sure that price drop isn't even confirmed yet...although they'd be stupid if they didn't.

I picked mine up in July 2007, a 60GB, right after the price dropped from $599 to $499, and it's easily the best purchase I've ever made. I've burned away so many hours playing games like MGS4, Uncharted, COD4, SOCOM, and all the countless others. RE5 will just continue to be the icing on the "Good purchase, bro" cake that I've baked for myself.

A friend and I are going to play through the game together. We had so much fun just playing the demo, it convinced me to get the PS3 version just so I can play with him.

I'll go solo first. When a new RE comes out, it's kinda of a personal experience for me. I like to play games by myself, not really a co-op, 2 player kinda guy. I'll check out the co-op eventually, but solo has priority.

There's nothing like screaming like a little girl with a friend.

Solo first definitely. Maybe after I beat the game once, I'll go back with friends in Co-op, but like many others have said, I don't wanna feel rushed when I'm playing through the story.

Solo, because I can't tell you how many times I've lost on both the 360 and PS3 demo, because my Chris partner was a dumbass. I mean seriously, I felt like I had to baby sit sometimes because they would try to run off and play hero and then end up dying. Sometimes I would end up dying as well, because I, like a dumbass, would try to save them and end up being killed in the process. Sheva offline is much easier to deal with and knows what the hell she is doing.

I also like to explore, and I don't want to hear "come on!" every two seconds.

However, after that first play through, I'll be online for the most part.

I've made my final decision. I'm gonna get the game on the 13th and marathon until I beat it. I'm not gonna stop until I see the credits roll. I've done it only once before, with MGS4, and I plan to do it again with RE5.

After that, there's nothing stopping the co-operative genocide.

I going to do the first run threw solo. I will not do what I did with RE 4 which is try to save as much ammo and healing supplies. It worked out for me on the second run since you get to keep everything but it just took me awhile to beat, replaying everytime I messed up. I actually took the 13th off from work and will be on vacation for a week starting the 15th.

Co-op! I already made plans with one of my friends to make our first run-through a co-op game.
