Now that lickers are apparently in Resident Evil 5, I'm finding myself more excited about the fact that they used to be zombies mutated through the process of V-act. So, where are the zombies? Maybe they were once the infected people from the airport in degeneration, captured by tricell. I think it would also be cool to have some suprise hunters. I mean it only makes sense, stealthy hunters in africa, it would be their ultimate preying grounds. Hell they could even bring back the infected lion from outbreak file#2

Lickers don't need to go through the V-ACT process to become what they are. It's easier (and the Lickers in RE2 and Survivor are the product of this) to merely expose a zombie to a large dosage of the virus again to spark a mutation.

My advice for you then would be to avoid the internet from here on in. Spoilers are popping up in practically every thread, marked and unmarked. And I have the feeling that once the game is out in Japan, people will come here and spoil even more.
