It would make the twist all the better considering so many people are so attached to one particular character. It won't happen though, although I wish it would. I like Jill, but I think she has too much hype and she deserves to go out in peace and it'd shock a lot of fans, which I think would be a good thing.

as for ANYBODY dieing I highly doubt they'll stay dead cause it would cause an uproar in the fanbase.if the Jill fans on this site and others are any indication plus I've been to other sites and alot of people say they'd leave the series if Jill dies and considering the amount of Wesker and Chris fans I've seen I'd imagine it'd have a similar reaction if they died it'd be like if they killed Leon

Anyway, I really think RE needs more female protagonists. Being all grown up now, Rebecca would definitely make a great character. Even if she doesn't get her own game, she could at least be in one, you know. They've completely forgotten her, and that's what I don't like.

Rebecca Chambers, Barry Burton, blah blah blah. How do these characters, with such minimal value to the series, get elevated to grandiose levels? A couple of sidekicks from the first game, that's all they are.

Barry's a family man who repaid Jill for the betrayal by saving her at the end of RE3.

Rebecca had her backstory butchered by RE0. It was already farfetched that an 18 year old could have passed medical school & elite law enforcement training as it is. But then I am supposed to believe that she braved the nightmare of RE0 and then turned into a timid mouse in RE1? Not to mention changed clothes.

They were "assist" characters. Both more than likely continued to aid their friends into the future, while leading healthy happy lives.

Why do you love them so much?

I hardly hate them, in fact whenever I play RE1 I am happy to see Rebecca or Barry. But I will not sit around and pine for them or build them up to be any more than they have already been established to be.

RE characters have always been pretty paper thin and missing on intricate details of their lives/personalities/what have you.

Yet Barry Burton & Rebecca Chambers are all the sudden cult heroes?
