Predictions for RE 6

No, he doesn't. Overrated. He's a complete side character and his "badass-ness" should be reserved for mini-games such as Mercenaries. At most he should get a little side game-within-a-game ala Seperate Ways. But he has no relevance to the RE plot anymore beyond his mission in Raccoon City.

Rebecca wasn't enough to warrant her own game and I'm still fuming over how they fucked Zero up completely simply by making her the main character. Any member of Bravo team would have sufficed, but an 18 year old medic who miraculously does a complete 180 in personality in the next game? Bollocks to that.

What we need is new characters. Give us some BSAA missions following Umbrella's downfall. Let us see Umbrella's B.O.Ws such as Tyrants and Hunters one last time with the new gameplay perspective.

On that note, it's far too early to make predictions on RE6 when RE5 isn't even out yet. Wait until the game comes out before looking for expectations anywhere.

I second that. As for Tyrants and Hunters with the new gameplay perspective, I am thinking this may be seen sooner rather than later...

Rebecca - the young field medic (with a full medical background and expansive chemistry knowledge and law enforcement training at age EIGHTEEN ) became more of a COMPLETELY farfetched character when her character development went backwards in time, rather than forward. Her youthful naivety and innocence were endearing in RE1, and I personally try to ignore the existence of RE0 so she can stay that way in my mind.

RE0 was a pretty game (graphically), but the choice to put Rebecca as lead was a poor one.

Either some new characters (BSAA members perhaps?) or a female main protaganist. No matter how the events in 5 turn out, I don't think Jill should be in it. I'd like either Claire or Sheva, but it'd be great to see where Rebecca is.

I really hope Leon is given a rest for quite some time if I'm honest. He greatly annoyed me in 4 and Degeneration and he isn't even that good a character.

I would like to play as Barry, but the eventuality of that happening it slim. I think Capcom have forgotten about him, so in that case, I'll settle for Claire.

As for villains, again, I'd like to see Nicholai return, but like Barry, forgotten. Therefore, I'll be happy with new villains, as long as they are worthy of ousting the likes of Wesker and Ozwell Spencer out of their "scheming chairs" which they have both sat themselves in for years before RE5 came about, offering closure.

I think id have to wait til I finish 5 before making any comments/predictions.

Who knows all the developments that will happen in the game by the time the credits roll on 5, so I could make predictions which will be nullified straight away by 5's story.

However....

.. I still am longing to see Sherry back. Im not sure why, I just have a nagging feeling that theres a world of story to be done with the character. To sum it up, (and I know it was apparantly removed from the updated Wesker report but)..

I would like to see a game involving the "Death of Barry" and having BSAA ,and the U.S Goverment joining forces i.e bringing Sheva, Chris, and Leon together, and having Clair Redfield kind of playing the aid or i.e new merchent of course giving her own clips where she shows her badass skills of course.

Make it co-op it and give each character diffrent skills..-blinks- wait that sounds like Outbreak.-shruggs-

for fun it would be nice if they ventured back to the Ruins of Raccoon and looked around in the caverns and hills and maybe even found Lisa Trevor even further mutated.

Like I said, we don't need anymore Leon. And making Claire just a sort of aid isn't what she needs. She needs to not get shoved aside again like she was in Degeneration.

Well its hard to say who should be in it, considering I will not read any spoilers in 5, and the only fighters left are Leon, Chris, and Barry,and Jill.

Claire and Rebecca seem to play as the aid and guardian roles.

And the last thing RE needs is more new people, for the "At the Time." survival horror alot of people keep turing up alive and I am sure alot of people can name ten or more people, and if not name for sure least name out of people whos fate is not yet known.


So who would you suggest play the lead role in another RE? cause eaither way you look at it all the characters are connected by one thing or another. so by saying,"We don't need anymore Leon.", is like me saying im tired of hearing about Sherry or wondering what if about Rebecca, Oh and is Carlos dead, and when will Wesker die.

I'm not ranting I just find it funny for you to say "we" are tired of Leon who is one of the survivors from a horror game because he had his own game, and was in a CGI movie, that seems more like fanboy ranting then giving a good reason.

I would love to see Barry star in a game but in time line he is almost pushing 50 years of age, Chris is already busy with RE5, and there are to many plot holes to even give good assumptions as to the rest of the characters, so I say Leon"including" the others in a game together because don't you want the series to bring everyone together?

Well based on what we know, which could change as we dont know all the plot details of 5...

Chris - Seemingly inactive. Obviously suffering from some kind of mental breakdown, so they have incapicitated him without hurting him physically.

Claire - Doesnt want to fight, doesnt mean it wont happen. However I always found the character of Claire to be a little unbelivable. She was ok in 2, but then in the opening sequence of CVX she seemed intensely military trained...at least enough to take out a squad of soldiers...outrun helicopter gunfire and leap and sommersault down stairs without being hurt? Yeah ok.

Leon - Works for the government. Loads of possibilities there.

Jill - Dead. Yeah I know. "SHES TUBELADY! SHES BIRDLADY!" but as of right now she is deceased. This also could be likely by the end of 5.

Sheva - Depends really on how 5 turns out. I cant see her becoming terribly popular...maybe a handful will take a liking to her. Her as a lead would just be weird.

Thats all the main characters, of course you have your support cast...like Ada, Sherry, Barry, Rebecca, etc. Out of any of those, Id really like to see Sherry. Not as a protagonist though but continuing Weskers plans. Remember she is a Birkin, has been with Wesker since he took her and Wesker even said theres something about her.

I've said this a few times before, but I honestly expect RE6 to star an entirely new cast with no returning characters from previous games in the series (save for perhaps Excella if she turns out to be the new main villain of the series). I get the distinct impression that Capcom is going to attempt to reinvent the series once again with the next installment. Honestly, I'd be surprised if the next game had any ties to previous games in the series whatsoever (not counting the presence of organizations like the BSAA and/or Tricell).

Your right he does get plowed by a B.O.W but like I said , I'm sure he was in pain but he didnt let it take center stage given the situation and also not that its a big help but he was wearing a 5.11 shirt which constrics your muscles and keeps them tight so you can withstand better impacts, and also once again his adrenalin was probbly riding high and you know when you are on a adrenalin high you don't feel pain yet honestly think clear there are many documented cases of it.

Also remember he recieved years of goverment trainning and im sure that had some hand in it, as for the Awsome Claire Redfield she is just your basic human who has over come alot without special weapons or training, infact I do admire that about her.

As for the McClain remark I hope you ment that as a term of inderment cause I like him over the Arnolds and Stallones of action films, McClain is just your basic average guy who is not a muscle bound male running into millions of guns and goes to town without getting a single scratch on him.

I mean really lol thats like me saying Chris Redfield went from the guy who survived the odds to becoming the new Jean Claud Van Damn in RE5 with his huge body makeover and punching heads clear off.

But then again I am going to figure you find no fault in Redfield bulking up and everything, but when Kennedy gets into shape and has been put under training its crazy and makes him all action star right, its not that im defending Leon over Chris im saying if your really going to jump in and call Kennedy all that craziness then be well ready for someone to point out the odd and over the top events Chris has survived as well and come out clean.

Chris had not a scratch on him after the Mansion minus some heavy sweat beads, Leon was seen Shot in game, and scratched up and to the point of having to bandage up,Chris was smacked around in Code Veronica sure but thats about it, Chris yet again in U.C not a scratch, Leon in RE4 got the snot beat out of him a few times(and had to deal with a annyoing girl lol), so now in a CGI film because he takes one single hit and gets up he is suddenly unreal?

Give the guy some slack, because what if in RE5 something simliar happens to Chris and he walks it off then what...
