Predictions for RE 6

I've said this a few times before, but I honestly expect RE6 to star an entirely new cast with no returning characters from previous games in the series (save for perhaps Excella if she turns out to be the new main villain of the series). I get the distinct impression that Capcom is going to attempt to reinvent the series once again with the next installment. Honestly, I'd be surprised if the next game had any ties to previous games in the series whatsoever (not counting the presence of organizations like the BSAA and/or Tricell).

Capcom probably wouldn't sell as many copies of a Resident Evil game if it rebooted itself completly and brought in a whole new cast. I think the majority continue to play the games because they really enjoy the characters and storyline. The biggest complaint I have seen about RE4 was that it had little to do with Umbrella. So unless they can tie everything up completely in RE5, I wouldnt count on a fresh new start.

I mean really lol thats like me saying Chris Redfield went from the guy who survived the odds to becoming the new Jean Claud Van Damn in RE5 with his huge body makeover and punching heads clear off.

But then again I am going to figure you find no fault in Redfield bulking up and everything, but when Kennedy gets into shape and has been put under training its crazy and makes him all action star right, its not that im defending Leon over Chris im saying if your really going to jump in and call Kennedy all that craziness then be well ready for someone to point out the odd and over the top events Chris has survived as well and come out clean.

Um... Chris is the new Jean Claude Van Damme in RE5.

And I do have an issue with his roid rage. I was saying Leon tries to be John McClane with his one-liners and fails miserably. Chris is Arnold 'cause he's a monster. Good action stars in their own rights, but put together... it just wouldn't work. That's what I was saying.

If 5 pans out the way I think it will, then Jill SHOULD be the main character in the sixth game,with it hopefully being about her trying to regain her old life while on the run from certain individuals who want to get hold of her. Along the way she could also encounter characters from the previous games such as Barry and Rebecca and perhaps even have Chris being the 'bad' guy who is chasing after her. Heck, have even HUNK come in and be either a partner character or a boss.

It just makes sense that Jill will be in 6 is some capacity given how much hype her involvement in 5 is getting and that it is high time she becomes a more focal point in the RE series.

It gives her more depth then just being an expendable asset of STARS or BSAA. I still maintain that Sherry will be a focal point of the next game if there is one...which would likely be more Claire or Leon-centric then anyone else.

I hope they give RE6 to a top tier western developer but that won't happen. I think Capcom will do a spin-off title on Wii before RE6.

BSAA Chronicles...lol. Although something like that might have promise. It seems like after RE3 alot of the characters continued to fight Umbrella. I'd of liked to see what some of them did.

I actually think it could be an exciting element added - that not only do you have to fight off the bio weapons, but also people who are on your tail and trying to bring in who they think is the enemy but also a potential enemy to the entire world. Sort of The Fugitive crossed with RE, with SPEED thrown in for good measure if they add scenes of Jill getting away from a convey of tanks or helicopters on a motorbike on a highway lol

Your right he does get plowed by a B.O.W but like I said , I'm sure he was in pain but he didnt let it take center stage given the situation and also not that its a big help but he was wearing a 5.11 shirt which constrics your muscles and keeps them tight so you can withstand better impacts, and also once again his adrenalin was probbly riding high and you know when you are on a adrenalin high you don't feel pain yet honestly think clear there are many documented cases of it.

Also remember he recieved years of goverment trainning and im sure that had some hand in it, as for the Awsome Claire Redfield she is just your basic human who has over come alot without special weapons or training, infact I do admire that about her.

As for the McClain remark I hope you ment that as a term of inderment cause I like him over the Arnolds and Stallones of action films, McClain is just your basic average guy who is not a muscle bound male running into millions of guns and goes to town without getting a single scratch on him.

Chris had not a scratch on him after the Mansion minus some heavy sweat beads, Leon was seen Shot in game, and scratched up and to the point of having to bandage up,Chris was smacked around in Code Veronica sure but thats about it, Chris yet again in U.C not a scratch, Leon in RE4 got the snot beat out of him a few times(and had to deal with a annyoing girl lol), so now in a CGI film because he takes one single hit and gets up he is suddenly unreal?

Give the guy some slack, because what if in RE5 something simliar happens to Chris and he walks it off then what...

Well, I personally hate the fact Chris has bulked up hugely, but given the time between his apperances it is reasonable.

Leon is RE2 I quite liked. He was relatively real. I didn't like the fact he took a massive gunshot to the shoulder, then got up and wandered through a sewer with no adverse affects. RE4 Leon...well, he defies physics, gravity and common sense on a couple of occasions.

Add in his very poor personality (Bad Ass Secret Agent Man) with witty one liners that are, in fact, not witty at all and I can understand why a lot of folk don't like him in RE4. He was smug, cocky and showed emotion almost randomly.

He was better in Degeneration, but again, they tried too hard to make him seem like some unstopable super agent rather than a person. His lack of emotion even when people were dying and his own life was at risk was professional, but there was no reason for it outside of work other than it made him seem cooler.

As for being bitch slapped by the G...that was bad. Yes, he was wearing the gear and marrinated on his own bodies chemicles. That doesn't negate the fact he was hit by a creature capable of punching through metal and concrete and sent flying around 70 or 80 feet to crash into solid metal. He should have suffered broken bones or been knocked out, or even so heavily bruised his movement was impaired. Adrenaline can only cover so much pain.

I'm assuming you're talking about your opinion that Leon is cool. You have the right to your opinion. But so do others. Folks don't like Leon, and it's a lot of folk. That doesn't mean you're wrong or they are. It's different opinions. Please don't assume you'll be ignored because your opinion isn't the popular.

You could be right. If this game does wrap up the previous storylines, or at least a large number of them, then they might drop as much as possible they certainly seem to want to move away from the series as much as possible. I do wonder what the next set of enemies are likely to be, since I don't imagine they can keep having Ganado/Majini just popping up all over.

I'll be the first to say im wrong when I'm wrong, and even see things from other peoples perspectives I guess in the end it just bums me when I would think more people would open to what other people bring to the table, or least see their thought behinde it instead of slandering for no real reason, thats all.

Then again that has been rare in this forum so far which is a good thing unlike the Gamespot forum lol.

Considering that RE has taken place in several different locations, I don't know what they would do next. If they are going to keep doing the co-op think then I would like to see Jill/Barry, Chris/Rebecca, Claire/Leon, putting and end to Tricell. I wouldn't might seeing other characters like Carlos or Billy but they would have to die so we wouldn't wonder what they are doing.
