Is Capcom actually incorporating ideas from the films into the games?

Oh man I dont know if anyones ever seen the Matrix Reloaded, but that scene with Neo fighting the group of Agent Smith copies in the park. I am picturing Chris fighting an army of Jill clones and knocking them all over the place with his oversized arms. While it would be a horrible plot line, it makes for a funny visual

I wouldnt mind the idea of clones IF the actual clones are B.O.W form (ie. dont really look like the original person)

Sergei being cloned to form the Tyrants, im ok with that because when we fight Nemesis or Mr. x it doesnt really feel like we're fighting Sergei. If Jill is being cloned and used to form some sort of She-Tyrant, She-Nemesis, im ok with blasting their brains out!!

Well said. We should be thanking our lucky S.T.A.R.S. that they havent introduced Alice. Specially since how close Devil May Cry was to being Re4. They could have easily been planning Alice to be the main character of that game. I'll always like Resident Evil until the day that ugly bitch shows her face in the games. You gotta know when to fold em.

Personally i wouldn't mind "Jill clones" aslong as it is only 1 or 2, and some were evil.

Alice doesn't deserve that because she is such an annoying main character in the films.

It really could make for a good story fighting herself in the later games of course only if there was 1 or 2 max but they would have to be really evil.

lets get the facts out of the way here, and detail all the recent homages to the films, some trivial some major.

1: Resident Evil Outbreak's USA text font same as the movies text font.
2: Alyssa Ashcroft has the red dress Alice wears as an unlockable clothing item
3: There is a scenario entitled The Hive.
4: Resident Evil 4 has the laser sequence
5: The Red Queen Artificial Intelligence
6: The White Queen Articifical Intelligence (although as yet the white queens function in UC is unclear.
7: The large elevator Jill&Chris descen shows the same scematic structure as the films.
8: The laser sequence room in UC is from the first film.
9: Teniuous but Sergei was cloned 10 times to be used in the Tyrant Programme.

i think thats it, my fear for Re5 yeara ago was the incorperation of an Alice character.

I think we'll only ever get visual references, and I think that's only happening because Capcom will know people might be drawn to the series as a result of the movies and they feel they'd enjoy to see some reflective imagery.

And Tyrants arent clones...Mr. X...T102, T103....seriously... Resident evil Survivor (cannon or not...) had a shit ton of Mr.X's, lets not forget about Hunters too...
