I think you guy's need to realise Resi isn't real. You're making it sound like an actual tradegy. I love the RE games like any other fan but dude... find you nearest pub and have a drink, maybe chat up a girl...

I'm still of the opinion that Power Rangers started sucking after Zeo and only got worse with each new season afterwards...Anyway what does this reboot mean?a reboot of the story(like the Dark Knight) or just a gameplay overhaul?(like RE4) Anyway I like the originals WAY better than the new ones...

Nostalgia is your brain making you assume something was awsome lol, I was in love with Resident Evil 2 and not to long ago for kicks to go back and replay it..yeah.. the tank controls static camera angles killed me, the obvious actions and dialog made me almost question my love for Resident Evil.
I guess something are better rememberd then brought back into the light, don't get me wrong I still love all the Resident Evils and think everyone should own them all for collectors sake, I'll still play RE1-3 anytime its placed infront of me but in the back of my head I yell at the screen saying,"Shoot the *#$@^! in the HEAD!" though I cannot.
Oh well this is the part where I duck under a table and watch the remarks fly at me, but I do stand by what I say.

I don't agree about the tank controls part, since pretty much every survival horror game since Alone in the Dark has had them. But I get what you're saying, you can't enjoy them anymore, but as I played the games after RE4, I really enjoyed each one and still do. Guess I'm a sucker for the atmosphere of the older games.Last edited by Henry Spencer; 02-26-2009, 05:15 PM.

I only started playing the games a few years ago, though I was a fan of the series just before RE3 came out. I was just too scared to play them.
The older ones are still fun games, controls and atmosphere wise - I guess it depends on the person playing them. We have been spoiled by really amazing controls and graphics of the games of this day and age (well, depending which game you're playing, and I'm talking about any new game).
But if an old game still has the fun factor, why leave it to collect dust? That's just me anyway.

The tank controls are part of the horror. makes you feel a hell of a lot more vunerable as they are so clumsey. I still play through 1~CV now and again. They have not lost much luster for me. Though thanks to RE4 I'm more willing to charge an enemy brandishing my butter knife. Though RE2 doesn't seem to be too fair with knife damage (seems to take a day and an age to kill one zombie). I'm always more drawn to 3 for some reason, might be the ammo crafting.

I never tried tackling anything with the knife, let alone a zombie. My plan was to shoot and hope I didn't run out of ammo. And I think besides the first game (both the original and the REmake), RE3 was one of my favourites, even though it scares me to play with Nemesis constantly in pursuit. Really fun array of weapons - and I did like the freeze rounds for the grenade launcher. I'm surprised they never brought them back.Last edited by Cheeb; 02-26-2009, 07:49 PM.

Speaking of Nemesis, I wish they would bring a enemy like that back, you know one to follow you from room to room-drools- that would ROCK and bring back some Horror, least I feel.
RE3 scared me the most that assult rifle never left my side and I always found myself eaither running from Nemesis, or walking slow and praying he wasn't around the corner waiting for me... yeah bring in a enemy like that to the Next-Gen!
