Dot, do you have a link onto how to mod your ps2 (and the other required guide to modify the networking) so it could play on the japan servers on outbreak file 1 and 2?

Will this model, the PS2 SCPH-90000CB, do? I see it has a network adapter inside so I wouldn't have to buy a external network device, yes?

EDIT:I have a PS2 with the adapter so I could just save money if I mod it, which I am sure would be easy to do if I get a link on how to do it. Either would suit me fine, but the latter be much ideal, with me already having a PS2 and most of what is needed.

Swap Magic with a slide card. It only works with a fat PS2, you can still use Swap Magic with the slimline model but it uses a different method than the slide card.

I bought mine from a site that's not about anymore, but I guess you can grab a PAL copy from http://www.swapmagic3.com/ now, or at least find a seller from there.

This is the way Outbreak was meant to be played. It's a shame how inaccessible Capcom made it with all that DNAS crap, different regions, UK offline only etc.. It was like they didn't want people to play online.

Don't order those. It won't work. You need to patch the ISO to work, since it'll detect the mod. I'll fill you in on the details ok, since its kinda gray area stuff.

Scream, I totally agree. If they were to do a PSN release, with File 1 2 and 3..man it would make my year. If online play with friends could convert a supreme Outbreak hater like me, anyone could love it.

Be warned, I went into character to make the play-through not boring. So you hear us all over the game.

It's hard to skip because someone's using a PS3. The PS3 player has to wait 15 seconds to skip or everyone else is stuck.

Can you join in on the fun if you use the memory card exploit? I was hoping there was a way to join just by patching the original games but I won't ask much since that is touching on a gray area here on the forums. Still would like to join in though as long as I don't have to spent too much cash to do it.
