    • Once you get on, you will have to download a patch. It will take you back offline. Change a settings and save to memory card. Or start a game, save and quit. Then you'll be able to play online. If anyone can play file 1 using the PS2 HDD as in an HDD game instead of DVD, I'm interested. DVD lags too much, the game isn't any fun on it.

        • I've been trying to go online but I'm in need of some help doing so .

I've run into a bit of a problem regarding the network menus on this emulator

http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/309/bio11.png this is the first screen after the network file menu.

As you can see, most of the text is invisible lol. I've tried different graphics plugins but nothings changed. I was wondering if anyone can help walk me through this part? Thanks.

If using the HDD install feature you'll need to ATAD patch a ISO if using an unofficial HDD otherwise you can use the official one bundled with Final Fantasy XI.
It'll also need to be formatted with uLE or WinHiip.

            • Hey hanks!! I can already play HDD mode (using the official Sony HDD), if this means someone else can join, way cool!

You're gonna have to set up a new network file on your PS2 while you're doing this and take notes to know which steps to take.

and for my question; i have both original games Biohazard:Outbreak 1&2 and i was wondering whether i would be able to go online with a PAL PS3 (i am getting swap magic so i can play it on my PS3) or whether i would have to either get a Japanese PS2 or PS3. Thanks! and i should hopefully be online soon!

                    • Warning: Remember, we don't tolerate piracy such as game downloads here. And I'm ever so friendly and therefore only giving out a warning...rather than a month long ban. Friendly I am.

don't pirate the games; buy them on ebay or from Japan (amazon.co.jp and import using tenso)

                        • He was talking to the guy above your post and you offered him help.
About your question yes with SM you can load any region disc, i'm not sure about going online with a Japanese copy using a Ntsc-US or Pal-E/AU console though, I don't think it matters.
Also SM is crap it has lot of problems with various games instead use SM to load a ZoneLoader ELF instead.
For those unfamiliar with ZoneLoader, it is basically like PS2 CogSwapLoader or CD Loader as it allows you to launch 'problem' PS2 games when swapped in-between the Swap Magic Discs. Many of the games that are plagued by these issues are those that contain multiple ELF files, for example, Hitman 2 and Splinter Cell. ZONELOADER is a dated BETA (V0.5) it will not work for all of them... so simply use it as another option worth trying when your game won't launch using the Swap Magic Discs alone.

                            • But you don't need one that's what I was trying to explain.

I'm asking about KDDI, it doesn't matter where I get my game because I'm not asking for a way to get it.

@maasharu, thank you, I've visited that blog, but I met yesterday too a person who says that he can play for free, and I won't pay because I'm starting university next month and I won't be able to play it because of time. So you all pay monthly for your account?
