Yeah, it arrived today. It's really really good, authough i don't like the digital versions of the orchestral arrangements half as much as the full versions themselves. The orchestral pieces are conspicuously absent from the CD. I guess they were saved for the collector's edition soundtrack...

Damn. If they try to pull off some sort of "Ultimate" edition of the OST, with extra tracks - that is horseshit. I mean, this one has 3 discs and 80+ tracks. That SHOULD be the definitive version.

Anyway, I'll wait another week or two to see if they'll release it in the U.S. If not, I guess I'll order it through PlayAsia. That's where everyone else got their copies, right?

And that's a serious buzzkill that there's no instrumental version of "Pray."

You'll have to excuse the white boxes around the scanned items, I was in a rush, so I had to scan the items fast.

The only thing I didn't scan was the front of the box, since it came out all wrong. The CD set comes with a manual, three CDs in seperate cases and a box to hold them all in. The item came really well padded from Play-Asia, although the item did take a while. The music is excellent, and my only complaint against it is how short some of the music tracks are, but then again, they're only meant to complement the cutscenes/gameplay of the game, which it does very well. This is a definite improvement on RE4's OST, a good mix of action cues, suspense driven beats, chilling music as well as the usual RE style making a return. I'm very happy with this purchase.

My CD finally came in today! Actually... it came in yesterday, but I had to sign for it, and because I wasn't home, the mailman had to leave a slip, so I picked it up today at the post office. I've already listened to the entire thing, and it's amazing. It definitely makes me even more excited for the game. I'm so glad I bought the CD. Worth every penny. <3

Listened to the soundtrack finally, I didn't want to until I was done with the game.

Overall, it's a really good RE soundtrack, but I'm not big on close to quiet background type music that the game has a lot of, so my playlist is pretty small. The music is great for the game it was made for, though. ♥

Question though. Weren't there two extra tracks on the first press releases? Does anybody know what they are? Because I want theeeeem.

i didn't really like RE5's musical score. it was ok but nothing special. im a fan of orchestral music but nothing RE5 seemed to be that great. i daresay i enjoyed RE4's sound track better.

The soundtrack is great as I expected, RE always has great soundtracks. Question: What is the name of the track that you hear when you finish each chapter? It reminds me of a save room track.

no im not kidding. i really did not like the mood and feel of 90% of RE5's sound track, it was to actiony and not enough horror. and it didn't help to create a frightening atmosphere at al really.

maybe im just weird, everyone seems to love it, just like how everyone loves CVX's soundtrack as well which is my least favorite after RE5's soundtrack.

i didn't really think RE4 had anything special either, but it was better than RE5's. and ok CVX's is alright but terribly overrated.
