Are play-asia generally quite good at getting pre orders to you in time for release date? I'm in the UK and figured that if they despatch it a few days before release on Friday it'll probably reach me Monday or Tuesday next week.

I live in the UK too, man. England, to be precise. But yes, Play-Asia have been good with me, no complaints. I wouldn't say they are quick with the pre-orders though, it usually takes the ordinary time for any item to arrive for an import (around a week). I do think they dispatch it right away on release day, it just takes the postal companies time to send it through to your respective country. I once got an item only a day after the official release date, which was nice. So we'll see. But in terms of reliability? I choose Play-Asia for that.

I'm really excited about this soundtrack! I pre-ordered it from CDJapan. PlayAsia has been good to me in the past, but CDJapan was selling it for a few dollars cheaper, and their shipping as always been faster for me.

As someone who was never impressed with RE4's soundtrack, I'm beyond thrilled that RE5 seems to have an excellent score this time around.

^Yeah RE4's soundtrack was pretty lackluster, though I thoroughly enjoy the final boss battle music. The orchestral piece from RE5's commercials is very awesome. I can't wait to hear it in its entirety.

Also cool is the piercing violin music played during one of the trailer's...where Sheva is backing away from the Executioner. It almost reminds me of "Halloween."

Sorry, but i find that to be one of the worst/most generic pieces of music in the entire series. The snare drum sound is so hideously 80s it makes me want to gouge my eyes out!

well everyone has different tastes in music, and what's so bad about 80's music? i personally love RE3's ending credits theme so much, i love all the RE music but that is one of my favorites.

also i love Remakes ending theme, and the Gaurdhouse music, and the RPD all theme. but the greatest RE ever, is Outbreaks opening theme. nothing shall ever surpass Outbreaks opening theme.

You've not even heard the soundtrack yet for RE5, but of course...it will no doubt pale in comparison to RE3. There's a shocker.

Something tells me if there's a "Jill theme" in RE5, that will suddenly skyrocket up your playlist...

sure i haven't heard it yet, but i also haven't heard the next Jonas brothers album, but im sure as hell it's not gonna be better than Black Sabbaths Iron Man.

so i think it a small chance that it will be better than any of the music they used in the classics, especially Outbreaks main theme which will always be the greatest.

and there probably will be a Jill's theme, doesn't mean it will be the best though will it.

I think RE5 will have some amazingly epic songs (have you heard that one in that 30 second trailer? Dear God I got chills) but oh, the ending theme to RE3 will always be one of my favorites. As well as the opening to Outbreak. And a couple of select tracks to Code Veronica (The Alexia Themes in specific are amazing).

i hope RE5 does have some amazing tracks, i really do love orchestral scores, but i think the quality has been slightly deteriorating lately. i like the themes in the classics a lot better.
