So today is Monday at about 1:13 pm, and last night one of my close friends called me from his cell to tell me he picked up Resident Evil 5, I had my doubts but I went to his house anyways, it looked legit the cover and everything, it was a PS3 copy, so I said hell and got excited and went for a controller.

As he slips the "blue Ray" into the system it loads up, he has his so it auto-plays, anyways as it loads up I begin to laugh because it is infact a blank blu-ray disk that has Dark Sector on it, now to make this story even more better he paid at least one hundred dollers or so he told me.

So im still excited even though I'll laugh when I get my copy since it will reminde me of that sad day when my friend thought he was cool and got it early.. dark sector-laughs-

The hype for me has been a roller coaster but I think I may end up with the RE5 Xbox bundle since I got an email from an old friend who would like to play co-op with me throughout the game. This has become a huge selling point for me for RE5 and the Xbox in general. All in all I'm sure we will have a blast playing it.

Something tells me that "copy" didn't come with a warranty. Your pal certainly took one up the tail pipe.

Why would you shell out $100 for a questionable copy of a game that is only 11 days away?

I'd ask him but I think he is trying to work through Dark Sector-laughs- honestly I guess he couldn't wait, but none the less a dumbass for doing it, but once again I got a great laugh out of it.

I feel like getting a tattoo that says when it comes out. THAT'S how excited I am.
Course, I need to get that fancy PS3, first.

Yeah, it's definitely funny. I guess it just shows what length fans will go to try and appease their anxiety.

I don't know a thing about "Dark Sector," but it better be worth $100.

I wouldn't pay $100 for any game. Not even 1.5. Okay, maybe I would pay that for a CVX remake with extended scenes of the Ashfords and extended files on their family tree and Umbrella, but that's it.

Dark Sector wasn't worth the Blu-Ray it was printed onto.. if it was a PS2 game it would be fine.. but its a budget title at gamestop for like 20.00 some odd dollers.

Funny thing is I never really took him for that die hard of a fan, all he has played is Resident Evil 4 for the PS2, so it was a shot out of left field when he told me he was a fan let alone "hunting" down a early PS3 copy of 5.

...I'd pay about $1000 for 1.5, oddly. Yes I am a little fanatic. Of course, I'd charge you buggers $1500 to release it. Daddy needs a new Warhammer army.

I'd probably pay the $100, actually. But not for myself, I honestly have little to no interest at all for RE 1.5. I'm happy with the finished product, Resident Evil 2. If I bought it, I'd just mail it to Dot or Kris or someone so they could use the content to share with the community. The only thing I'd be THAT hyped about is a CVX remake. My two loves of Resident Evil are Alexia Ashford, and Umbrella. Either of them, sure. I'm more of an information buff, so I'd pay that much for release of new and exclusive information.

I'm so busy at the moment. Even though I should be getting the game in about a week, I'm not sure how much time I'll have to play it!

Add that to the lacklustre demo, and a generous helping of apathy (RE: The story, thanks to Umbrella Chronicles), and I'm not all that excited. I'm hoping to be pleasantly suprised by the game.

Personally I think Capcom sizzled this title way too early (July 2007 was first gameplay trailer), but I guess the sizzle-merchants in their marketing team knows more about marketing than I. It seems that everyone here is salivating for it!

I think the topic title was meant to be "So how excited are you for Resident Evil 5?" but, meh.

I'm really freakin' excited. I just got a really good game in Killzone 2 just three days ago, and it's already wearing on me because I'm so pumped for RE5. I honestly think I've spent more time playing the RE5 demo than I have Killzone 2's multiplayer in the last two days, I shit you not. I seriously just sit in class sometimes thinking about Chris and Wesker and Sheva and Irving and Excella, because I'm excited for this game's story. My first playthrough is gonna be me tearing through the game(for the most part...I will read files and such, and stop to look around some) just so I can finally experience this story, which I have high hopes for. After that, I have all the time in the world to experience co-op and second and third and fourth playthroughs to enjoy all the little nooks and crannies I might've missed before. I have an elite teammate lined up for my first co-op playthrough, and I can't wait to start it up once I'm done beating the game on my own.

I can't wait for March 13th. It should really be great.

I am so excited, that if, for some reason capcom HQ wwre bombed, all the copies and information on Re5 destroyed , and they canceled it...

I would question my own existence

But seriously, i have not been this jacked for a game ever, Twilight princess wast he closest to this but not near the power. I keep thikning over how epic it will be, no matter what, its goign to be epic in so far as what i have seen

Even small things are awesome, like, " oh, i wonder what the different gun reloads will look like"

But ya, im booking work off, not going to school that week, putting a cooler with liquids in my room for life, cleanign everything,i bought my first HD LCD for it, and even stellar games like street fighter 4 and killzone 2 have not doen a great job in tiding me over for re5

                                Re5= TEH AW SOME
