SelfishGene is right...they did start marketing this game too early. I have been anxious for RE5 since the first trailer that showed Chris in the blue threads. That was a LONG time ago.

And the excitement reaches a crescendo because this will be another game with Chris. Now, I love all RE games in the core series, but I am especially excited to play one featuring my favorite character.

It has been hard lately to concentrate on other things. I just need this game needs to come out, and I need to finally see the story for myself in its entirety. After I have spent a good 3-4 days just playing the crap out of it, then I can again focus on other things. But like CR29, RE5 has certainly been at the forefront of my thoughts.

yeah the classic Medal of Honor games where great werent they, i really wish they had not changed it the old ones were way better, i loved them so much. when you don't hype a game at all it is so much better when you play it because you expect nothing at all from it.

wow really? wel where i live the standard price for PS3/360 games is $120, which sucks so much. i cannot believe im gonna pay that much just for one game. that almost as much as a system!

I try not to think about the game at this point. I just hope that the first playthough experience will be as good as RE 4.

I can't see how it can be any worse than 4. Nothing points to it being anything but better. My only concern is co-oping with Sheva, and I solve that by roping in my mate to play as her. He has a thing for playing as women anyway.

For as much as I love 4 there is little doubt that this game will crush it. Better story, better characters (imo... I'd rather see Chris and Jill than Leon and Ada, plus Sheva is infinitely cooler than Ashley), more varied enemies, obviously better graphics and score, and even the weapon list is a personal wet-dream of mine. Add in co-op, which is like my obsession in gaming, and I just don't see how this game will dissapoint.

As he slips the "blue Ray" into the system it loads up, he has his so it auto-plays, anyways as it loads up I begin to laugh because it is infact a blank blu-ray disk that has Dark Sector on it, now to make this story even more better he paid at least one hundred dollers or so he told me.

So im still excited even though I'll laugh when I get my copy since it will reminde me of that sad day when my friend thought he was cool and got it early.. dark sector-laughs-

              Man...that must suck. $100...thats crazy!

Somebody said something about wanting to know more about the Ashfords. They could read the novelization of Code Veronica, by S.D. Perry. Granted, it's not exactly the same as the game, but it's almost the same thing.

I've read The Umbrella Conspiracy, Zero Hour, Code Veronica, and I'm reading City of the Dead.
Any idea what S.D. Perry's original RE stories are called?

Seriously? The retail price of most games here is about 40 GBP. Whereabouts do you live? O.O

I'm so excited I almost jumped off a bridge!!!!! I've grown a beard and bought a green vest!!!

Actually, I'm about to replay Code Veronica: X just because I thought it was a very tight RE game. Maybe Remake to catch up on the whole Wesker vs. Chris storyline.

                              Those were the original ones?
But they're in the same series as her video game -based ones.

Me? On a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being "Meh, whatever" and 10 being "Counting down the days! " I'm a "FFFFFFFF CAN"T WAIT NEED GAEM NAO PLOZ!!"/10

Seriously, I am totally pumped, and struggling not to look at spoilers, then failing, and then trying to forget what I saw, but I KNOW this will be great. I just wish we were getting it THIS week (dangit, Japan, why did you all luck out with BH 5!? )
