Easiest way to defeat the final boss

good to know, I just keep shooting him with the rocket launcher equipped with shock and acid rounds. Got him down, but not in 30 seconds lol.

We played on normal...and didn't have much of a problem with it at all. I think it is kind of sad when that's all it takes to end the final boss...especially when he just so happens to be main villain of the series.

Ok, Alzaire and I just had the oddest thing happen. We tried the usual knife deal, but he kept taking damage while on Weskers back. Whenever I tried to knife Wesker, he also took a ton of damage and ended up dying before I could do kill Wesker with the knife scene.

Has anyone encountered this before? We wore him down to nothing before trying this, and also just doing it right off the bat. Nothing worked, he'd always go into DYING and then die while on his back. We assumed it was maybe the leeches coming onto him? But in every video I saw, this never happened. Noone mentions this, so wtf?

We ended up killing him by me shooting him in the heart while Chris restrained him. Every shot I took also hit Chris for some reason, so I'd have to resuscitated him after every hit. So like, wtf??? It was on NORMAL mode too.

Not sure why you weren't given the prompt Dot. I only just watched the video...so I haven't tried knifing Wesker at that point yet. I thought he died fairly quickly from the gunfire on normal...I hope he'll be a bit harder as the difficulty levels increase.

I'll see if it happens tomorrow. We got the prompt, he was holding Wesker, and I was jamming on X to knife him. But his health just went down so fast and he'd die if I was knifing Wesker. So weird.

He's not. I completed it on Veteran and I was suprised it only took that to finish him.

The first time I bet him I just shot him with everything I had but new there was a QTE when his spot near his heart opened up. I did it tonight and wow it was so much easier to cut him. And also want to add that Chris is a beast.

Misty and I defeated Wesker with the knife tonight, on Amateur. We started again on Veteran...might do it the same way again, who knows. It's lame that that's how easy it is to defeat Albert goddamn Wesker, but at the same time, the scene was really cool to watch. I enjoyed it.

This is absolutely not the case. It had to be bugged, or my controller was not registering my button specifically during the QTE. I did the same fight with Mr.Spencer and with an AI and had no issues restraining Wesker for the knifing and took no damage. I really don't think I failed a couple dozen times in a row with John, yet have had no issues any other times. Extremely weird.

Doing it on Amateur - Veteran seems to work fine, and Chris takes a small amount of damage. I tried it on professional and even starting on full health it killed Chris every time.
