Some precious tips that be can helpful:
1) make her as a healer bot, AWAYS give mixed herb or spray or in pair
2) give rifles (better choice) and a good "UPGRADED" beretta
she will not use granades or mines, so don't worry about that
equip sheve with a armor (until act 4 with the melee and latter with bullet)
she will only use powerful weapons in attack mode, and she can't use very well the extreme weapons like: magnum, rocket launcher or granade launcher good as she can.

I never, ever had a single problem with Sheva in either the demo or the complete game. I even played through Veteran difficulty my first time through and she did fine. Online/Split-Screen co-op is obviously better, but she's a great AI partner from my experience. I really don't know if I'm blessed with special copies of the full game and demo or if other people are just doing something wrong to make her AI go retarded.
Regardless, she's definately not a concern anymore since I gave her my maxed out SIG 556 with unlimited ammo and set her to attack mode. The chick's a beast, even on professional difficulty.

I started my play through yesterday (on normal) and I quite like Sheva's AI. Like any sort of AI, it has its traits and methods of behavior. Hence, it's 'predictable' when you learn those things.
I'm up to 3.2 and she's been fine. She's only died once, when she got chopped by the Chainsaw dude (all the times I played the demo, that never happened).
I keep her in cover mode and keep regular checks and adjustments of her inventory.
I like the fact she's predictable and does what she's told. I've found her quite helpful a few times and she's often keen to follow up my melee attacks with her own.
A minor annoyance; a few times I've had to take herbs from her, combine them, then give them back.
If nothing else, she's handy as a movable item box...
I wonder does 'veteran' difficulty makes her more erratic, to make the game harder?

I'd hardly say it's "fucking terrible".

Why is everyone glossing over this? Give her a good handgun and in cover mode, she'll ::GASP:: cover you with it. You have to do most of the work. Give her a shotty or AR and set her to attack mode and the chick shreds up enemies... and with much higher accuracy than most human partners would.
I just don't get it. Am I honestly the only person that has ZERO problems with her? In fact, here's a great example of her awesomeness:
5-3 Spoiler below...
Spoiler:
In section 5-3, when you're on the lift and it's rotating upward, I gave her a sniper rifle and sat back while she popped EVERY SINGLE enemy's head off. Never have gotten through that section so fast with my co-op buddy in splitscreen. And this was on Normal difficulty.
Frankly, I want to impregnate her.

What I hate with her is that she spends her time in front of me. I can't shoot at enemies correctly, and since I can't strafe while aiming, I have to move around, and shoot again...
I'm not even talking about the times I get stuck because she's standing on a narrow path or when she shoots at me because I'm between her and an enemy.
Her AI is awful. And I still don't understand why she would use only her handgun while in cover. Why not using the sniper rifle? ...Last edited by Rick Hunter; 03-11-2009, 08:02 AM.

I had the silly bitch Spoiler:
standing up in the mounted gun fire on the mountain side, just before the bat-grub fight. She'd always catch the last 3 or 4 shots in the face, then scream for help. I just beat the troll this morning. So far I haven't found her to be much of an asset or a liability other then that instance.Last edited by TheSelfishGene; 03-11-2009, 07:32 PM.sigpic
