I've never had an issue with Chuck, to be quite honest.

Rifle headshot, hook punch...
Rinse and repeat about 10 times.
Picked up the Guard's Key.

yes, as Chris I used the rifle against the chai...Chuck guy. Shoot the head or the leg to stun him, give him a Scorpion uppercut and rinse and repeat. Hell, I even used the handgun against him. There's also a transformer and a slew of explosive barrels, use to your advantage...
