    no it isn't.

there's plently ofstuff tocontinue to exploreabout her character, what exactly did Wesker and Excella forceher to do while she was birdwoman, they could make a prequel to deal with all Chris and Jill's missions together, that isn't a rail shooter. they could continue on in a sequel and we could see what Jill is like after RE5, what effects being under the control of Wesker and Excella had on her.

    there are infinite storylines possble.

$$$ will lead to RE6. But I am ready for a new enemy and new heroes. I don't mind the BSAA angle, but I'd rather see something different. What? I am not sure.

Definitely I'd like to see a return to more "horror." And unless they bring back Chris & Jill, I definitely would prefer new characters.
i think there are to many characters now, just focus on developing the existing ones already. oh and, it was actually Chris and Sheva who killed Wesker, with Jill and Josh's help.

The worst kinds of fans are the ones who grasp on to one character in a series.
so having a favorite character is a crime?

i liked RE5's story, but i don't get those who hate people who are fans of certain characters. i mean what would a game be without characters? some people like the characters better. and since i realy cannot stand the new camera, i prefere the characters over the series now. well, the new games anyway, i still love the classics to death.

RE5 is a great game and I like it a lot.
I think it was a very good first outing on 'current gen' hardware.

Sure it was better than RE4 in a lot of ways but I also think it was inferior to RE4 in more ways (and similar to RE4 in even more ways again). Overall, IMO, RE4 was a better game. Considering that many people, including myself, think that RE4 is one of the best videogames ever made, that shouldn't been seen as an insult to RE5.

If someone else dosn't do it soon, I think I'll make a 'RE5 VS RE4' thread and elaborate as to why I think that RE4 is better.

RE4 and RE3 are still my favorites. Given some time, when the dust settles, I think RE5 will probably be around the middle (top half) of my 'best RE list'.

As for where the story finished and where it can go from here... I'll agree it's a bit sad and weird to have both Wesker and the mysterious Spencer, killed off in the same game. It's certainly left a power vacuum at the top.
But there are still some interesting characters around and I can imagine the story could continue in many different ways.
I don't want to see the series loose all of its roots but some new villains and circumstances may even be for the better (time will tell).

None of those would fit in another whole game or a game of the similar genre. We could perhaps have a stasis-simulator! MAKE SURE JILL GETS HER DAILY NUTRIENTS AND DOESNT DIE. ENSURE THE TEMPERATURE OF HER STASIS FLUID IS AT OPTIMUM LEVEL. That would be boring. As for Jill and Chris's missions? They'd be boring too. As for post-RE5 Jill, once again there wouldn't be a whole lot more to think about. Perhaps you could import a Jill skin into The Sims and then see how that goes? Then you'll have HEAPS of Jill. =)

You're like a broken record, you know that? ;)

This is precisely what's going on here.

I WANT A GAME BASED ON DIJ! What did he do after Code Veronica? What was he during between Rockfort and Antarctica? There are endless possibilities!

Oh, you know what would be super?! A post-RE5 game featuring Jill where you guide her through her daily activities, such as dyeing her hair, shopping for new clothes, or training for her mission in RE6. It could be called "Jill Valentine's Super Happy Fun Bonanza!"

And then, a few year down the road, the release of: CAPCOM PRESENTS JILL VALENTINE (large font), FEATURING RESIDENT EVIL 6 (smaller font). That'd be the actual title. Just to appease the rabid Jill fans, it will be a 2 player co-op game featuring not one, but TWO Jills. Player controls Jill, and then the AI (or co-op partner) controls the second Jill. Just go ahead and cut out any story elements that aren't Jill.

You're like a broken record, you know that? ;)
I actually made that assessment long before Excella made it relevant.

Tricell are still at large, they can just blame everything on Excella and say that she was "acting independently of the company's agenda". Just throw a little money around and the problem is solved, they have too much influence in the Global Pharmaceutical Consortium to be brought down. Besides, you take down Tricell and you take down the B.S.A.A.
            See you in hell.

^Yeah, I really kept expecting more story elements from the dilemma of TriCell funding the BSAA. Like maybe some conflict of interest or something to make Chris more jaded in his quest, knowing that he was ultimately being provided with the tools to fight bioterror by the same people possibly responsible for it. An analogy of sorts on the Uroboros itself...

              Alas, not.

Of course not. Do you honestly believe that the gamers who enjoyed RE4 would understand and appreciate such an analogy?

                  Possible plot elements for RE6:

                  1. The fleshing out of the nine unknown members of the Original Eleven.
(of course, this could just be overlooked and completely forgotten...my money's on the latter, sadly).
                  2. Tricell and the BSAA - what happens now?
                  3. Leon buys a new brand of hair mousse.
                  4. Jill becomes a successful pornographic film star.
                  5. Ada Wong, anyone?

I know. I loved RE5, but my biggest let down was how it didn't compare to the game I had built up in my mind. The same thing happened with REUC.

My mind spins this intricate, amazing story from all the media I see before the game is released, and then it never measures up.

I think the focus on co-op really hampered the possible deep storyline that could have been nurtured for RE5. Then again, I think the scribe was the same guy who did RE4. And most RE games have simplistic plots to begin with...

At least I know that you'd appreciate a complex narrative, my friend.

                    1. I think that 11 was just an arbitrary number. Don't get your hopes up for that to be resolved.

                    4. Her scarred chest isn't going to do her any favors.

I really love listening to your little piss ant soldiers trying to talk tough. They make me laugh. If Matrix was here, he'd laugh too.
