No Region Protection: Bio5 or the PS3

I'm thinking of getting this, as in the thread title, does the "No Region Protection" mean just for the game? or, is the PS3 itself region free? ..sorry if its a dumb question. I've been outta gaming for an entire year, and am not up to date on specs, etc. of the PS3 and 360.

The game itself, but there is no regional locking on any PS3 games out there so you're safe. The western versions are merely 3 days away from release though, so what's the point?

I wasn't aware of the no regional locking with PS3 games. Guess I was thinking "bonus", play games from any region, AND, would have my solution for playing the Outbreak games online, all in one shot.

PS2/PS1 games are not region free on PS3, only PS3.

Thats okay, since it would only be the 2 Outbreak games needing the Japanese regional part/system, and I do have the Biohazard versions for OB1 & OB2.

Though, that would throw the online part of RE5 out the window I suppose.(?)

Online gaming is region compatible lol.
It all depends on the game if it's region locked or not.
But otherwise, RE5 is region free for online AND playing it.
So theres no worries. ;)
