How do you...(Online Co-op Question)

So, Rosetta Mist and I are about to begin our playthrough of RE5(on PS3). I'm waiting for her to bring the game home. As I wait, I'm trying to figure out how we set up our game. I select New Game, Invite Only, and then Start Game, and I'm allowed to invite someone...but by the time I can invite the person, the opening cutscene is already playing.

How can I set up a game so that her and I will both be in the game together from the very beginning so we both see everything? I feel like if I invite her as soon as I can, she'll still miss the very beginning of the opening cutscene, and that's not fair.

I noticed you can do it from HOME, with the 'game launching' feature. Try that if there's not an easier way.

I'm still a little fuzzy on this myself Chris, but you guys can just restart the game from a previous checkpoint I believe. Try inviting her at the menu before the game begins.

you gotta initiate a party first, right ?

cause you can only invite people who are in your current "party" to play the game with you

I figured it out. We both just watched the introduction on our own(not like it contained anything we haven't seen before) and then invited her at the start of Chapter 1-1 and restarted the chapter. It was a pain in the ass, kind of silly, but it looks like the problem only exists in that first chapter, or any other chapter that begins with a cutscene.
