Definitely the series most consistent VA, and some of the very best I've ever heard in a game.

Irving really is the most insane character since Alfred Ashford, and is another character favourite of mine now, mainly thanks to his crazy tenor of voice, so unstable. Really fit the character.

Wesker has never been voiced better (and never will be again). If they ever have any flashbacks involving Wesker per chance, they must, nay, have to bring Douglas back to the job again, since he really nailed the part perfectly. Whereas Waugh sometimes came across as forcing his lines, Douglas really exuded this real cool, confident attitude to Wesker, without mucking up any of his lines. A real commendable job, and even better than I thought it would be.

Excella's actress was just perfect for the role; came off as really bitchy, Spencer had a rather melancholic voice, which was just right for his character. Josh's VA was well done and again, never felt forced. Chris's voiceover was spoken word for word with a real clarity and sense of knowing how he felt and gave the character a rather sad edge I never imagined seeing in someone like Chris Redfield. Sheva's VA did a good accent, plus her voice acting came into her own late ron into the game. Jill obviously was excellent, since her VA had to fluctuate from one extreme to the other, a tough VA job, probably the hardest of the lot actually, and thankfully was a total success.

      Surprise of the century.

Anyway, my $0.02: I thought the VA was good all around. Every character had a distinct personality and for minor characters, that is a reflection of their limited dialogue.

This was easily the best Chris out of the many VA who have lent their voice to him. (Was this the same dude from REUC?) Sheva, Josh, Irving, Excella - all great. I enjoyed the corny sayings of the Humvee driver.

Wesker was in rare form. It's funny too, because just a few months ago, people were constantly criticizing DC Douglas. I personally never understood the praise heaped upon Waugh...he was good, but he was nowhere near perfect. His cackling in RECV was terrible. It defined cheese.

Jill was good this time around. I found all her other entries pretty bland besides Catherine Disher in RE3. It's hard to believe this is the same Jill VA as the one in REUC.

And, just as in RE4, the random mutterings of the villagers are my favorite bits. If anyone knows how I can spell some of that dialogue, let me know. I crack up whenever they shout at me.

Excella was the big standout for me in terms of voice acting. The changing of intonation throughout different scenes really fleshed out the character. The softness her voice took as Uroboros Mkono mutated really lead me to believe she was sadistic.

That being said, I also think out of all the characters, her facial expressions and small nuances really worked well for the character.

Jill also worked well too, for the little time she appeared.

Irving's voice acting was laughable but I suspect that was the point. >_>

I assume most people realise that the humvee driver is none other than Dante, Rueben Langdon, I like how they kinda modelled his face on Dante's too.

And I don't think Chris's VA is the same from Umbrella Chronicles. Though the cast list for that game is really hard to come by, even the credits don't list who plays who.

I really liked Chris, Sheva, and Wesker's voice acting.
Irving and Excella were great too.

I didn't like Jill's voice however. It just sounded weird compared to her RE3 voice.

I loved Chris, Wesker, and Excella. I really liked Jill's actress. She was very emotive. She delivered her lines well ('specially the "I'm so sorry" one. Does anyone know who voiced her? They have absolutely NO behind the scenes footage on HER actress - I know, to keep her identity under wraps, but still...)

I didn't really like Sheva's. It just got irritating and overdone for me at times.

                "I'm guuuu-ing with yuu!"
                "... pahtnas..."
                "... mahshlands..."

But it's because of this she is now the source of many inside jokes with my friends, so I really can't complain And otherwise she was alright... there was a noticable drop in her accent at times.

Sheva's yo-yoing accent was definitely a hit and miss. Not 100% sure what to think. She was definitely emotive during some scenes and while it did work, the constant changing in voice was really off putting.

Second blaze's comments for Jill though. Was Patricia Ja Lee the voice actor as well? I think she sounds like previous Jill's, though my memory is probably playing tricks on me >_>

Sheva's "I need an hurrrb" is priceless.

Douglas more than made up for his performance in UC with this. He did even better than Richard Waugh when it came to giving Wesker that creepy, smug personality, even though I found his final "CHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSS" to be hilarious.

Roger C. Smith did a remarkable job as Chris, without a doubt the best VA to choose for the character.

Patricia Ja Lee did an excellent job as Jill. She reminded me of the actress who played her in REmake for some reason, but she did a nice job!

Allan Grove's portrayal of Irving was...okay. Was I the only one who thought he sounded oddly like Scott McNeil (specifically, McNeil's role as Rattrap in "Beast Wars"). But overall he did a good job.

Karen Dyer did a great job with Sheva, even if the "THANKS PAHTNUH" and "I OWE YOU ONE" voice clips got grating. She did a fine job, and her voice fit Sheva quite well. I for one didn't feel very annoyed by the accent, even though it did feel a bit out of place for her (she reminded me of an African Lara Croft, and Chapter 4 didn't help to shake that feeling), but I found it to be alright.

The only VA who I felt was a bit corny was Excella's (Nina Fehren) . Out of curiousity, what ethnicity was her character? I originally thought she might be South African but I honestly have no idea. Either way, the accent was a bit corny, and I still can't forget "You'll find out soon enaaaf, everyone weell".

Everyone else was pretty good in it too, and you can tell that Capcom really gave their all for great VA work!

I think Excella Gionne is Italian. Or maybe Greek.

Either way, they really went nuts on her tits. Good ol' perverted Japanese game designers.

its even more funny if you look at some of the behind the scene storyboard scenes where they have the actors act out there parts, the actress playing/voicing excella is flat as a surf board ..

There are less scenes of Excella's chest and more of her face. I am quite pleased with that direction (though there was heaps of weird positions during her demise being shown >_>)

As for her accent, it's Spanish, Fehren received voice coaching for that accent. The only thing we know about her nationality is that she's European. I would assume if we put 1 + 1 together, we'd get that she's a spanish woman, but I don't know if we can just "assume" things because accents aren't particularly 100% official in real life or in video games =P

I remember an interview with Karen Dyer in which she said Sheva was born in Africa and relocated to England after the whole Umbrella Plant/Guerilla thing and that's why she tried to blend the accent, but it appears to have been different... Supposedly Sheva was relocated to the USA.
