the uroboros fights were made like that because the game probably wanted to show that killing an uro with conventional weaponry would be near impossible, as demonstrated by the alpha team getting slaughtered ..

all the uro fights had some kind of mechanic to them..

The Wesker fights were the best. The others were mostly shit. Irving, Ndesu, the first Uroboros and the Excella fight were all garbage...I coined the Hammer of Dawn comparison, btw. That was me.

The 3 Wesker fights were the most fun. Running around in that tomb area while Jill was just shooting the shit out of me. The first time, we got a game over because I blasted her a good 6 times with the M37 and she died. TIME PARADOX! Also, the Jill 'fight' was pretty cool, too. We finished her off with only Chris on top of her, pulling that shit out of her chest. It was fitting.

Other than that, yeah, the Wesker fights were the best. I think the second one was my favorite, though. He took a lot of damage before we were finally able to inject him with the nanomachin -- err...virus inhibitor thingy. The final fight was cool, but easy. Very weak. He took like 4 or 5 rifle shots to his weak points before dying. Disappointing.

And also, U-8 was a genuine surprise -- one of the few that took place in RE5.

I liked all the Wesker battles expect the last one I thought it was to easy. I think the bosses in 5 weren't as good as 4 but 5 had a story and characters that I cared about so I guess that makes up for it.

For some reason I had a lot more trouble with the ones in RE5 than those in 4. I think they used gimmick fights a little too much (grab that turret, grab this special weapon only available for this battlle...meh) but as a rule I thought they were actually a touch better than RE4's. Each boss was very different to the next and sometimes the standard, 'Spot Weakspot, shoot Weakspot' wasn't always the answer.

The Wesker and Jill fights, along with the Wesker End Boss, did take me a few more goes than I would have liked. End Boss Wesker was especially awkward with his one hit kill. It was fun listening to him sprouting crap about testing humanity to make it strong and the like as you fight him, and the need for a cull of the human race, but he was a prick with that one hit kill.

I think my favourite had to be the four way, just for the story.

After playing it last night, the 2 on 2 fight is the best in the game and one of the best in the series. It's just so....cool. Hiding from Wesker, trying to avoid Jill and then after that the desperate struggle to get the device off her chest. Fantastic.

My favorutie was by far the Wesker Hangar battel, it was cool in ist presentation, and i liked the entire idea of it, that, and the 2 on 2 was great as well, and i liekd how you could throw grenades into u-8's mouth, nice touch.

I thought most boss battles were pretty awesome. The initial playthrough, trying to figure out what to do to weaken/kill them, was very exciting. All the Wesker fights were top notch. Thankfully no Wesker QTE fights involved dueling with hunting knives like they were full-blown swords.

I found all the Uroboros fights to be challenging, even the first one with the gimmick kill method. Especially if you have an AI partner that likes to take her sweet ass time in getting out of the furnace room.

As for RE4...the only memorable boss fight from that game for me was the village chief. The rest were "meh," especially the uninspired Del Lago battle. It was easy and Del Lago is one of the most poorly designed creatures in all of RE history. It just looks so lackluster.

Worst: Ndesu. It was certainly lacking.
Best: Aside from all of those amazing fights that involved Wesker or Jill? I liked the U8 boss since it was a great surprise. Then again, so was the second Uroboros fight. I thought it was nice to have the classic creature that never goes down and follows the protagonist about persistently. It was a great throwback to the older RE games. Wesker sure as hell proved his capabilities, as a scientist, by creating such a beast.

And did everyone fight the Popokarimu on the second occasion, or not bother and run up the stairs? Cause if you do fight it, and you got the grenade launcher, he's real piss easy (easiest boss battle in the game).

We fought it the first time, because we tried running and it triggered a QTE and killed us. So we just said, "f it", and killed that easy bastard. Sickeningly easy boss. Damn it.

                            And...as for your sig...

Josh: If you kill multiple enemies in a row, you get yourself a NICE BONAH MON!
Are you saying that Josh is speaking about boners? And he's now Jamaican?

I mean, I get excited about killing multiple enemies in a row, but, I've never gotten that excited...

Josh is pretty gnarly. Yesterday I uppercut some majini, and Josh kicked him back to me, and I finished off the dude with a haymaker. It endeared me to Josh even more than his sweet "phraseology" in the Mercs mini-game.

Anyone know what exactly Josh says when you "save" him? Something like "Thanks for savin' my ass." The first time I heard it I thought he was calling me an ass.

I think all the boss fights are pretty good for what they are on your initial playthrough. After that, when you know how to beat them or have upgraded weapons, they lose their luster just like any other game. So reflecting on them is sometimes unfairly skewed.

As for Popokarimu (the second time) - killing that SOB gets you the "Soul Stone" (IIRC) which is worth some serious cash money.

All of the boss fights were memorable.
But my favorite moment has to be during the 2vs2 fight.
Running through the maze of corridors and suddenly Wesker pops up in front of you and shouts "THERE YOU ARE!"
