Not a fan of the whole Project W thing. So we're meant to believe that there were a hundred baby Weskers running around, all with different first names, all from really intelligent/successful families, all 'groomed' for their purpose? I don't buy it. I liked him a lot better when he was just Captain Wesker, double-crossing Umbrella and fucking shit up.

I liked how he just continued to manipulate people...that seems like his M.O., manipulation. Whether it was Barry, or the STARS team as a whole, or Jill or Excella in RE5...that was his favorite thing to do -- manipulation.

I'm upset about how he died. Two rocket launchers and a pit of lava had to take that sadistic son of a bitch down.

He will be missed.

i agree, project W was one part of the story i really hated, and that part also completely ruined his character beyond repair.

and i just didn't like him in the whole of RE5 either, i agree that Captain Albert Wesker of the STARS team was his best appearance.

If he had infected everyone on the planet, then who would he have sex with?

We know that he does have a sex drive because of those naughty photos of Rebecca that he kept on his desk. Did he only have eyes for Rebecca?
Maybe Rebecca rejected his advances and that what the cause of Wesker going nuts and doing all his evil acts..?

His entire motivation in RE3 was money though, IIRC.
It'll seem kinda arbitrary if they bring him back as main villain and start infecting places for no reason, IMO.

Like I've surmised before, he's probably living like Scaramanga right now on his tropical island resort taking multi-million dollar contracts for assassinations. An interesting note to make, I wonder if Monitor were used by Spencer to eliminate those on his hit list? They seem like the perfect tool to get the job done, all done via Sergei of course.

I honestly don't think Wesker had a sex drive at all. He was solely fixated on his plan for Uroburos and getting revenge on Chris and Jill.

Yes it's true, but kind of fun if you think of it...

Wesker's plans are all about becoming a god; "gods" do not need sex, they need power and people to control.

I love his rants during fights about how Uroboros will select superior DNA and stuff, he was an amazing madman, although I really didn't wan't him to end like that; always thought he would be alive as long as the series exist.

Boy, I was wrong. But his legacy will be remembered.

His death is a good thing.

Having an all powerful villain would stagnate the franchise. Otherwise each subsequent game would be: "Stop Wesker from getting the new ______Virus that was made in [random exotic country]; prevent worldwide outbreak". Suddenly we have a "Saturday morning kids show" on our hands.

Now that wesker is dead, there is no main villain. The only bad guys now are the victims of the bio hazards. We can go back to surviving outbreaks, but now they will be caused by bio terrorism.
In the first resident evil, Wesker wasn't revealed until the end of the game. There was no villain, only escaping death at the hands of hundreds of bloodthirsty monsters. That's what Resident evil needs to become. The "bad guy" needs to be a faceless entity. That entity is now Bio terrorism.

Um...because like Chris said...Wesker doesn't take partners and share power. read Excella's file...Wesker was using her the entire time. She was greedy and set herself up for her own fall. Excella saw herself as Wesker's equal...and he saw her as nothing more than a pawn to help further his own goals.

And the pictures of Rebecca...like I've said before...Wesker hadn't been in the STARS office for months and people had gone through the desk, not to mention probably used it to store files. Also....Enrico. Did you see the captain of Bravo team with a desk? No. You didn't. The only member of Bravo team to have a desk was Rebecca. Why did a new member like Rebecca get a desk, even when another surviving STARS member, Brad, did not? Because the RPD building was actually poorly designed, especially the STARS office. There's no way every member of STARS could have a desk in that office unless they shared space. And lastly...that picture was fanservice. I doubt it really had anything to do with Wesker.

He may not have meant to kill her. Bear in mind he injected her with Uroboros, and they can both be quoted as saying the only ones fit for the coming new world are those who Uroboros accepts. I'm sure if Excella had adapted to Uroboros, he'd have had her at his side, but Excella "wasn't worthy".

Just beat the game not too long ago
Well, heres what i thought of wesker
Wesker was absolutly amazing in Resident Evil 5, his voice actign was amazing, they fleshed him out in teh cutscenes, they showed his arrogance and ultimate goal, and they finished him, and although it hurt, he was by far my favourite character in the series, and at times in re5 i was rooting for him

I actually liked the Project W plan, in a way, it was setup for his death imo. He found out that all this time, he wasnt the one in charge, that spencer himself was pulling many of the strings, and this in a way set him off. With Spencer dead, he decided to pursue moret hen material gains, and went for it all, to destroy the human race as we know it. The PG67A/W was also good, it gave notion that he needed something to stay in balance, because without that plot mechanic, chris defating him and sheva would have been out of the question, the yhad to give him a weakness to exploit, otherwise how would you stop someone who can move so fast he can snap a bullet off in your head without you knowing it? But he became what he always thought he wouldnt, a BOW, and this sacrficie meant his demise, his own fault.

PG67A/W was a way to show, wesker wasnt entirly in control, and that there is always a way. As well, it was his arrogance and need for reveange that made him lose. He could have shot them in the head at any moment, could have sped up behind chris and snapped his neck, or even just sprinted away to his stealth bomber and made his rounds. But it was his inability to let go of the past, of chris and his arrogance, that let him lose. So in a way, he was the one who unraveled himself, and he rightfully died.

But wow, i still cant beleiev they did it. Resident Evil is gone now, and i dont mean im angry, i just mean, now we are left with scrath again, there is no face of an enemy, they are all dead, just faceless organizations to fight off.

Weskers actual death was okay, i thought the fight could have gone on longer, different transtions, with his mutated form coming later perhaps, more cutscenes to shed some light on their fued. As well, killing him didint need to happen, at least not in that way. I always think, leave options open, because how cool would it be if Wesker appeared in Resident Evil 8 or 9, unexpectdely, i would flip and be happy. But they naield it, it was agood ending, but i know that if they want too ( Capcom) and decide to, they could easily bring him back, in someway, they can craft a story to make it so hes back, and as Takeuchi said , Hes a popular character, and there might be ways to fit him in the future.

As for the whole blob creatures remaining, well, theres got to be something to do, give this superior race something to do after the new balance.

Goiodbye Wesker, although you as of now are more dead than any person ever, youll be back, they wont keep the best vilain of all video games down forever. In someway. well be hearing " CHRISSS!!' again. It was ahell of a ride, although i didnt wnat it to happen, i twas for the best taht you died, and make an appearance perhaps later in the series

I think Wesker's decent into madness and eventual defeat fits nicely with the Degeneration theme most villains in the series have.
