one thing i must say is that the exicutioner feels like nemesis in the way he stalkes you in mercs.in singleplayer campain he cant jump, but in mercs he can

BSAA Jill machine gun works well again most of bosses... you will need to change fire to kill other enemys to don't lose a chain, but the gun will stun the boss before it can do anything... you may find problens in the ship map, so you need to get those rocket launchers.

Hey all, new to the forums.
Just thougt I'd post some of things that helped me get used to beating those tougher levels.
Firstly, I'd use Jill (Battlesuit) if she couldn't even attack. That's how awesome of a character she is.
Anyways... I've found that it's easier to unlock characters on your own, rather than trying to pick up a partner and hope that they're competent. So, in my case I solo'd the tougher ones that really turned out to be easier than most think.
So, Ship Deck for the most part is frustrating. At least get a B so you can unlock Prison.
Once you've unlocked Prison, grab Chris (Safari) and do a dry run exploring and finding the time bonuses/combo times. You'll notice the Executioner's are an enormous pain in the ass. So all you have to do is introduce your RPG to them. You won't have too much time to waste, so avoid getting caught up when you're collecting your time bonuses. Try and keep up your combos until that Executioner rolls up, one shot him with a rocket - rinse repeat. I actually just ran a circuit on the outside part of the level, only really going for the 40k and it was a sinch. That way, you'll get Wesker (STARS) and Ship Deck will become easier (possibly).
With Wesker (STARS) on Ship Deck, first thing to do is drop the decked out Beretta. His shotgun is much better and that way only Magnum and Shotgun ammo will drop along with the usual demo. Without getting stressed out about the double team Chainsaws, I got over 40k on my second try. Wesker's Deagle is a great weapon against the Chainsaws, and when they go beserk, it's still that easy to finish them.
In all honesty, Wesker (STARS) performed better overall still on Ship Deck for solo for me. I've seen Tribal Sheva roll out the big points, but you really have to be an Elf with that bow. The grenade launcher is amazing crowd control, so it's something to keep in mind.
Anyways, I'm sure people have done the same as me. Just thought I'd reiterate what worked for me since I truly was terrible at MERCS when I started.
I really want to get better at Jill (Battlesuit) in every level, but the problem is that the Shotgun setups are immensely better because of ease of use.
What's funny about that too, is that probably the best character is Chris (STARS) - drop the 556 and you have only Magnum ammo and Launcher ammo dropping... Missile Area was the most fun level I've had, just blowing everything up and using the Magnum 24/7 because there was plenty of ammo.
Yet, if you look at shotgun setups, you can net those combos with ease.
Take for instance Experimental Facility... I just hung out around the spike cage with Chris (BSAA) and blew away the few that got in my way when I would run figure eights with the Majinis and Lickers, so that I could just kick the impale button and pick my nose in between.
All in all, I love this game. I doubt there will be a cooler character than Jill (Battlesuit) in games to come. Lmao, even her grunts are SO sexy. Just let me do kicks on time bonuses all day, ahahah.Last edited by Stroggberry; 04-06-2009, 05:46 AM.
