It was a Duvalia, the clam like thing that the village majini turn in to. Bit Jill right in two.

Yup, that happened to me too. I actually had to try again a few times. It only seems to do it when you are in Dying mode and get bitten. It's pretty awesome.

I hate those... mainly because it was the first time I played coop yesterday (it was offline) and my friend kept getting instant-killed by them D:

Reapers are one of the few things in RE5 that give me a sense of 'fear' because I know about their one-hit kills. The first time it happened, I nearly shat my pants. It was a view from behind the Reaper, showing Chris's face as it continuously jabbed into him with those pincers. It was grisly.

Gotta shoot those yellow bulbs, man. If you don't...you're in trouble.

Just unlock infinite machine gun ammo and plough it non-stop with bullets. They can't get near enough to one-hit kill you.

I personally find the game more fun to play without infinite ammo...there's not much challenge if you're feeling unstoppable.

As for the death scenes, I am intrigued by the Duvalia death previously mentioned. Most of my deaths have been at the hands of Wesker, while I was trying to get the jewel on the volcano level.

Anyway, the one area where RE4 surpasses RE5 was the amount of ways Leon could die. And for me, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing Leon murdered.

But as mentioned throughout this thread, there may be a lot of deaths for me to still see in RE5. Last night I actually experienced the group death scene where the villagers rip you to shreds if you perish on the "Public Assembly" stage. Awesome.

Reapers killed me the most, if you look at the death stats, and that infinite ammo machine gun doesn't help on mercenaries.

Duvalias were the second most annoying monster to me. #1 spot there going to the Reapers. Damned things and their one hit kills. At least with the Duvalia you have a slightly better chance of going into Dying state.
