I'm pretty sure the bodies on the conveyor belts are zombies. There's a file you find later that mentions that victims rejected by Uroboros were to be sedated and immolated. Uroboros is derived from the Progenitor Virus right? This would basically make them zombies, albeit not T-Virus zombies.

Whats all this talk about Progenitor zombies?
The progenitor virus usually kills people. I think the only person it didn't kill was Lisa Trevor.
      T-Virus = zombies. nothing else.

Well I meant that nothing else makes zombies but T.

Wasn't the Proto Tyrant made using the T-Virus? I'm sure in Zero they say Progenitor causes a breakdown in cells and at that point there'd been no way to utilize it as a weapon. It's obvious that later on, Progenitor was developed though; by the time of REmake we already have two different strains, one of which didn't kill the host.

Its no longer about survival horror, its not even horror anymore, its just action
survival horror died long ago it seems.
the last RE game to scare me was Resident Evil 3,and it STILL scares me when i play it sometimes.
                    same with REmake,RE1 and RE2.
RE4 never scared me,i never even got a adrenaline rush playing RE4 which is something i get when a action game is good.
UC was not scary at all,i wouldint even pay 25 cents to play it if it was a arcade game

The series, as it was, was very stale and the gameplay was starting to become old. It needed a facelift and it got one. People's complaints about RE4 were hardly about the gameplay, but about the complete lack of story and utter ridiculousness over the "story" and characters. In my time on various RE forums I've rarely seen complaints solely for the gameplay element. As we can see from Resident Evil 5, it's incorporated those elements with a decent story and decent characters; and from what I can tell, the majority of the fanbase is very pleased and Resident Evil 5 is a leading game at the moment on both platforms.

I don't know what you must have been expecting from Resident Evil 5 then, after Resi 4, UC and all the trailers we'd already seen for RE5, if you think Capcom have screwed you over for it. It's, in the words of Ben Le Rougetel, a "bloody great game".

I actually love RE5 and fell that it is much more "Resident Evil" than RE4.

And the fact Capcom is willing to reboot hopefully means the series will return to survival horror.

Alexia Ashford summed it up very nicely

                          i do like RE5's gameplay and RE5's co-op but i miss survival horror,cheesy dialouge,ironic looking enemys,beleiveable bodymass index(*Ahem*chris),and utter lack of ammo.
hopefully we will get all of the B.O.W's back in RE6.
and please for the love of god dont ask for barry back, hes probably a grandfather by RE5.

edit:Oh and ive allways been fond of the story(Well not in RE4,RE4's story was "LEEON HEEELP ME!!" and "YOU PERVERT!!")

Oh come on. Umbrella Chronicles is fun, even if it's not a survival horror game. Its like "resident evil the ride". Don't you think your position is a little bit too extreme?

The story was there in Resident Evil 5 and summed it up nicely. What were your main faults with it?

Technically, it is survival horror. You only get shedloads of ammo if you play on the easier difficulties; play it on Veteran and then Professional and the entire game is a struggle for survival with the limited supplies you have, and given the tense atmosphere of the game and disturbing enemies, the game would still be classified as horror. We did get a nod to some old B.O.Ws in RE5; I don't know how it could have pleased you without taking a complete backstep in time and bringing the series back to what it once was, which in this day, I doubt the formula would still work.

The series has evolved and taken a step in a different direction, and at the end of the day, you can't please everyone; but they've pleased a LOT of people. They've not screwed anyone over.
