      QTF.

Capcom is simply following the path of gaming evolution. The RE series would probably not have sold so well against some of today's big name games if it stayed the exact same as it did when it was first created. Yes...REmake proved that it can still look good, but the controls were dated and slow, clunky at some points. There really aren't any "horror" games any more in terms of things that are actually scary anyway.

Dude, I don't see how it could be anymore clear than it already was. Lava up to your neck and two rockets to the face would do anyone in.

Well we dont know for sure he died.
Granted if he did survive it wouldint be in a recognizeable form
and killing off Excella is my biggest fault with RE5,she could of made a great replacement for Wesker

You don't have to use spoilertags here, it's a spoiler forum As long as you don't put spoilers in the thread titles.

It's obvious Wesker died. There was a very interesting post on Project Umbrella about it but I can't seem to find the post now. The basic jist of it was that if you see how Wesker reacts to fire in CVX, he isn't tolerant to it, he burns with incredible ease, and no virus can survive above a certain temperature, including Uroboros, and the lava would have been way above that temperature. Wesker was standing in molten lava. Even if the rockets missed his head, they caused a massive explosion which would have left lava and rock pouring on top of him. He could not survive that, given his vulnerability to fire. His bottom half would have been completely incinerated, and at best, he'd have been left severely disfigured with only half of his body left. Even in that case, he'd have no way of getting out of the volcano, so he would end up burning alive anyway.

Edit: Here's one of the posts explaining how Uroboros couldn't have survived.

As for the latter, that will probably be explained later in DLC.

Can't argue with that one. That annoyed me too.

Seriously. For the last time...he's dead. He's gone. It's time to move on.

I'll have to disagree. I really liked Excella before I played RE5. I really wanted to like her a lot more...and I wanted to see just what she became. And what did she become? Another shitty, throwaway character, who also happens to be a complete rip-off of Alexia Ashford.

Her backstory was...child prodigy. Wow. That's new. And what were her motives? She wanted to be Wesker's queen? Are you kidding me? I was highly disappointed with her in RE5, and I'm now glad she's been killed off.

And she was an easy-ass bossfight, too. Hammer of Dawn FTW.

Her instant kill attack is cheap.

Me and my cousin were just sitting there like this after it flattened me.

she has an instant kill attack ? never got hit by it on the three default settings ..

the biggest annoyance in the fight is the closer she's to death, the faster she starts chucking those leech blobs.

I'm not sure what causes it since it only happened once in my first playthrough, but Sheva did her "Look up, Chris!", when the orange blobs are at their highest point (I guess?), so I assumed you had to climb up the ladder and shoot it from there, and when I got up, all the orange blobs came down ontop of me. No warning or dodge prompt or anything, just dead.

No. The Good Ol' Rocket Launcher can smoke her ass in a second. Or two. I just finished professional with an infinite rocket launcher, I used it on (it?) when the main "weakpoint" was exposed and it took one single shot. Talking about ownage.

And yes. I have accepted the death of Mr. Albert Wesker. Those were the good times.

You folks are likely right about Progenator. RE0 is probably the game I've played least, next to Gaiden, and so I'm not so hot on some of the details.

But these things clearly weren't T-Virus zombies. The lack of savaging your face off tells us that. I guess they're what remains if Uroboros doesn't take to a person, even well enough to make one of the nasty little hentai beasts you face in the game. I think they had holes in them, didn't they? Anyone got a decent picture?

They clearly looked "drained" and could just be the remains from the uroboros, considering the corpses falling down from the experimental chamber into the darkness.Tthey probably become live feed and then the remains get sucked into a capsule for missile deployment.

Wow, thanks Dark that made my year.

I think you could play RE0 quite abit and still not learn much. Only thing I remember learning was that Progenitor + Leech genes = T-virus? Ugh...

It is abit confusing, but I think there are 2 types of Uroborous rejection. They keep the test subjects in their test tubes, and I would guess they have them on some sort of cryogenic suspension or some form of treatment to let the virus ease into the body. Why I assume this is because all of them show the same type of gray skin decay, different from Excella, Wesker and black dude in intro who just took the virus straight.

The first type of rejection I think has everything to do with the test tubes, and those are the ones that just wither, and get dropped in the incinerator to jump on passersby. The second type is when the union with the virus is succesful, so they take the subject out of the tube to a controlled environment to make sure all is well. If the virus is 100% content with the body, the test subject will just get Wesker powers. If the virus was just close but not quite, the test subject will turn into feeding tentacles and be disposed of. Like the guy Excella unleashes on you, who almost seems to be a match until the very last moment. "Aww... Looks like he wasn't worthy" If you're just injected, without getting the test tube treatment, I guess you just turn into a tentacle mess every time if you're not compatible.

So, I would guess the emaciated guys are just the test tube controls safety features to make sure every discarded test doesn't turn into tentacle rape fantasy, and just kills the virus in them and leaves them dying. That's my theory anyway. And, Uroborous and T-virus are based on the same thing, so while the emaciated guys aren't zombies they're part of the same family, so to speak.
